Bittersweet to see @blessedstyles walk out for the last time. In only a couple of months, we grew a strong bond in and out of this building. It’s exciting to know he’s pursuing what he’s great at and doing it his way. Watching him chase his goals, reminds me that this is all leading somewhere real. Keep being great and doing great things. So on the bright side of this mad week. Today marked one year ago where I made a temporary sacrifice to tackle barber school full time which did take a lot for me to do at the time. Mentally, financially, spiritually, emotionally I was not there yet. Didn’t feel ready but I got tired of not taking the chance to do something I really wanted to do. I did it and it worked out for the better. This is one of the most important mile stones for me. From loosing it all to gradually getting back on my feet and reforming myself. I wanna thank @byrdmena for pointing me in the direction and being mad helpful and transparent with me. @tiginewtown for helping me and meeting some amazing people. @g1cuts_barbershop for giving me a chance at the shop. @cordovablends for teaching me a lot of techniques. I went from having zero clients to cutting over 200-300 people since April, to being on the news. I’m extremely happy and grateful for the people I have around me and surround myself with. If it wasn’t for yall also especially my boy @thefirstcarlos he helped me own up to my bullshit and my self sabotaging ways. He helped me when I felt I didn’t have anyone in my corner. I beat depression because of him and people around me but ultimately myself. I beat the negative Ralf that was holding the better me back that I didn’t know existed. War against myself. I have a different love for life ever since. I love all my close friends. I just wanna be at peace with my life. That’s the main thing. Cheers for more life and positivity, and cut the evil in this world 🍻

Appreciate @fox61news and @vallery.maravi.tv for interviewing me and sharing my story. A dope experience for sure and just another chapter in my journey. Chapter 42 — Day 1

This time last year, I couldn’t have imagined standing here today. The year started off heavy… a whirlwind of emotions, change, and uncertainty. But God. 🙏🏽

Today, I celebrate Day 1 of Chapter 42 with gratitude. I’m still on the move—still a nomad—but I’m anchored in purpose, healing, and obedience.

Shoutout to my classmates from @tiginewtown (📸 @connecticutbarberexpo)—y’all are part of the support system that’s made this chapter so special. I’ve grown so much in just this last month, not just as a barber-in-training, but as a woman healing and walking in faith.

Blessed to have @lembeauty__hairbymel & @luxury_cutz_ in this season of my life—God knew the kind of support I’d need, and they are the perfect balance. 🤍

2025 BARBER EXPO

Thank you to everyone that showed me love and support for the instructor of the year voting. Unfortunately I didn’t win but that’s okay, I know to my students past and present I’ve been the best instructor and to me that’s a victory within itself, without them I wouldn’t be the instructor I am today. I’m just motivated to continue being the best Barber and instructor I can be and continue to share the love of my craft thru education. To everyone that went out to the Barber Grammys with me thanking you for being there and helping me keep my head up! The expo was amazing as always, had lots of fun and won some money while at it.
