SoNo is getting spooky! The Halloween Nightfair is taking over Washington Street this Saturday, October 24th from 2-10 PM, and it’s shaping up to be an incredible community celebration. Best of all: It’s completely free and open to all ages!

Here is what you need to know:
☀️ Afternoon Family Fun (2 PM): Bring the kids for trick-or-treating, pumpkin painting, carnival rides, and a special meet-and-greet with the Sanderson Sisters!
🌙 Evening Party Vibe: As the sun goes down, the energy turns up with headlining performances by Wuki and Similar Kind on the main stage, plus a 21+ beer garden with local drinks and cornhole.
🏆 Costume Contest: Bring your A-game! There’s a judged costume contest on the main stage with cash prizes up for grabs (must be at least 50% DIY/homemade to enter!).
🍔 Food & Shopping: Come hungry to check out food trucks like Grumpy Dumpling and So Fresh Doughnut Co., alongside 60+ local makers and artisans.

Pro-tip: Park at the Webster Street Municipal Lot, Haviland Parking Deck, or Maritime Parking, and walk right over. It’s rain or shine!

🍻 The BEST Happy Hour In Fairfield County! 🔥

@blindrhinobar @blindrhinofoodtruck
South Norwalk & Bridgeport, CT

If you’re looking for the best happy hour spot look no further than Blind Rhino.

You can’t beat 5 wings for $5 and half price drinks from 4-6, and these are Nationally awarded and recognized. This isn’t your average buffalo wild crap.

There are dozens of flavors to choose from. This day I went with the wing of the month General Tsos, Togarashi Brown Sugar and Garlic Parm.

My eyes were bigger than my stomach. Between the great wings, deals and friendly boisterous staff, I’m definitely going back soon and you should too. Tell them the Fairfield food dude sent ya!

This past weekend I made my long awaited visit to @twelvenotebrewco, both to catch up with my beer friend @newengland.brew.lover and to see this newer spot for myself! Though small, Twelvenote makes the most of their space, with a warm and cozy atmosphere perfect for enjoying a good pint and listening to some quality tunes! Usually I put a lot of thought into my song choices for my posts, but Twelvenote does the work for me! Each taproom pour is paired with its own “Session Track” which inspired its name. Tranquil, fun, and full of good energy, Twelvenote is a great spot to hit in Black Rock!

@newengland.brew.lover recommended this one when I sat down at the bar, so I went with the Kolsch to start my visit! Pouring a light golden color with a thin but bright white cap, this beer smells of aromatic fresh baked malt. A crisp, breaded body brings a delicate floral note with zips of tart lemon rind for a refreshing touch. With each passing sip the aspects meld more and more, culminating in a delicious, vibrant Kolsch packed with smooth and tasteful flavor! While Twelvenote doesn’t have their own kitchen, they’re located right next to the award winning wing spot @blindrhinobar. The brewery and restaurant partnered together to allow customers at Twelvenote to order wings in the taproom and have them delivered right over! I opted to try the Spicy Buffalo and Wasabi Sweet Chili flavors. The meat comes right off the bone on these tender wings. The WSC flavor is sweet and savory, with a subtle wasabi spice that lingers on the palate. The spicy buffalo brings a nice growing heat, with a vinegary Buffalo coating. While eating the buffalo I didn’t think it was much hotter than normal, but 10 minutes after finishing them I still felt the burn on my lips. Both are fantastic, but I dub the WSC my favorite of the two! If you’re stopping into the taproom, I’d say Blind Rhino wings are a must! And if you’re stopping at Blind Rhino, can’t go wrong grabbing a pour at Twelvenote before your meal!
