Happy Opening Ponderbog! I was lucky to have been asked to write a new TYA show for @blindspotco that will be touring schools this fall. The show’s about two quarreling sisters who through an ancient curse get transported to the magical forest of Ponderbog. Through the help of a bumbling knight, a michevious troll, a wise talking tree and many other enchanted creatures, the eldest daughter Nancy sets off on a quest to save her younger sister Kim from a fearsome shadow monster in a dark castle that’s been terrorizing the kingdom. This show teaches kids about the power of imagination and the natural world we all share. Thank you to the cast, readers and creative team that brought this show to life. And a huge thank you to @shellbyville33 & @bcbmccarty who gave me this incredible opportunity and are championing new works in this city. Cheers to the future!

Thinking of one of America’s best and most genuine songwriters today. I’m so grateful for her existence, her kindness, her fearlessness in speaking up for me and you.

Thank you to @sandiegouniontribune for these kind words! I am honored to get to cover works by these two American LEGENDS. Lady Day’s bravery demanded attention to the utter inhumanity and danger of systemic anti-blackness and led the fight for audience integration! And Ms. Summer’s music created a safe space for America’s queer community in a time most vulnerable. I hope I do them both justice; we are desperate for their voices right now. ♥️ And maybe I’ll be seeing you… in our audience!

After today, there’s only 1 more weekend left to see Dive Bar Time Machine! 🎟️ Ticket link in my bio. Promo: REWIND. My fellow cast mates and I have been so flattered by all the positive praise. 🥹

Upcoming Performances:

Sunday, August 2 - 2pm
Friday, August 7 - 7pm
Saturday, August 8 - 7pm
Sunday, August 9 - 2pm
