Vengaworld takes over Wembley 🏟️🚗

Beneath the home of English football, Vengaworld once again brought together an incredible selection of cars to showcase what London car culture is all about. The quality of the cars is unreal, but it’s the atmosphere that keeps me coming back. Everyone respects each other, and that’s what makes these events so special.

Will and I arrived in his Rubystone Red E36 after spending the morning at Plus44. After his bumper decided to fall off earlier in the day, we then drove two hours into London with no AC, hoping it’d stay attached this time. 😂

We spent the evening walking around together while he tried a portable flash for the first time. I somehow ended up as the designated flash holder at times. Watching the arm movements he was pulling to light his shots was quality entertainment.

This event pushed me well outside my comfort zone. I’m much more used to shooting in natural light, so I held back from taking as many photos as I wanted. I also had a go at shooting with a model which I had only done a couple of times before. Looking back after editing them… I wish I’d shot loads more.

The highlight of the night was bumping into old friends, making new ones, and meeting two photographers I’ve looked up to for years, Mike (@northborders) and Faye (@inyourfayes), in the most photographer way possible, they were patiently waiting for me to finish taking a shot before walking through. I thanked them, took my photo, looked up to thank them again… then had to do a double take when I realised it was Mike. We ended up chatting for a while, and they were both genuinely lovely. It’s a moment I won’t forget.

@coolflo at Brooklands tonight with the E36 😎

One of those meets where you end up spending more time catching up with people than actually taking photos, which isn't a bad problem to have.

Brought the camera out with me but barely used it until late on when the car park emptied out a bit. Ended up testing the flash I got for Christmas and the shots came out with a proper retro film vibe 📸⚡️

Definitely one of those evenings that reminds you why the car scene’s still worth it.

Secured another win with the E36 at Tucked! came away with a Top 5 and honestly buzzing with that considering how strong the competition was this year.

Typical me though… didn’t even realise I’d won because I somehow missed the sticker on the back of the car all day 😭 Massive thanks to the Tucked team for being so sound about it! I’ll be linking up with them soon to collect the board trophy, which has genuinely been a goal of mine for years.

Been chasing a Tucked award ever since I first started attending around 7 years ago, so this one means a lot. Somehow now 2 for 3 on awards vs shows attended this season, so the E36 is off to a pretty unreal start this year.

Next stop is @vengaworld in Shoreditch on the 4th June where the car will be on display, properly excited for that one. Love the culture and community they’re building over there.
