👷‍♂️ CHAPTER TWO — THE ARTISTS ARE HERE. 🎨 15 Guest Artists. 📍 Local.
🇩🇪 National.
🌍 International. Different cities.
Different practices.
Different stories. One shared structure. 👉 AREA 05 — THE PLAYGROUND FOR ALL — started as the moment BETROGENER TRAUM had to become bigger than my own experience. And now it has. 🫶 15 artists said yes.
💪 15 different voices are already part of this project. ‼️‼️‼️ They are not decoration around my story. They are part of what this story has become. ‼️‼️‼️ The work is ready.
The artists are here. Now we need the room. 🏗️ #BetrogenerTraum #GuestArtists #ArtistCommunity #InternationalArtists #ArtistRunProject

THE FIRST ROOM. ☝️ Before BETROGENER TRAUM becomes public, something else has to happen first. 🤝 Not the opening.
Not networking.
Not performance. A room before all of that. THE FIRST ROOM is the first physical moment for the 15 Guest Artists of AREA 05. A place to arrive.
To meet.
To understand that this is no longer only digital, no longer only individual, no longer only one story. We are here.
In one room.
Before the world enters. 🙏 Because a project about structure also has to build one. 🫶 @syouf_ @blockpanorama @mariogroennert @julia_hell_illustration @fridapini_art @timerunnerart @elaine_saulnier_studio @bea.bensch @acid_flamingo_art @ NEVA BERLIN @mentalflorist @adlergestell @spacegambler @_grantl_ @auenco @ala_alev_ @art.byida First trust.

AREA 07 — THE DECISION NOT TO STAY IN THE DARK. This is not the place where everything is suddenly healed. It is not the perfect ending.
Not the clean solution.
Not the moment where pain disappears. AREA 07 is softer than anger,
but it is not weak. It is the moment where you understand
that healing does not happen all at once. Sometimes hope is not a feeling.
Sometimes it is a decision. 🙏 To keep walking.
To keep looking.
To let the light in
without pretending the darkness was never there. The light does not erase what happened. It just means pain is no longer
the only thing leading you. ✌️🙄 This is AREA 07.
The place where you go on. 🙏✨💖 Artwork photography by @blockpanorama #BETROGENERTRAUM

AREA 06 — THE DISTORTION. The moment when you can no longer tell
what is truth and what is survival. What happened.
What you felt.
What you saw. You start to second-guess everything. But sometimes confusion is not weakness.
Sometimes it is what happens when reality gets twisted for too long. 😊 AREA 06 is the beginning of the way back. 🙏✨💖 Artwork photography by @blockpanorama #BETROGENERTRAUM #KayBecker #ContemporaryArt #BerlinArtist #ArtExhibition

AREA 05. This is where BETROGENER TRAUM opens. Not as an exhibition —
but as a shared space. For artists who were unseen.
Ignored.
Excluded. For a voice that paints vulnerability, identity
and the emotional weight of being human. — Some stories return through the same figure.
Again and again.
A body, an alter ego, a mirror
for thoughts, emotions and lived experience. They move through flesh, posture, silence
and the quiet dignity of being seen differently. They cannot be reduced to a caption. Some need empathy.
Some need acceptance.
Some need a room. AREA 05 begins here —
not by exposing artists,
but by building a structure
that can hold them. — This is not about visibility. It’s about connection.
About presence.
About creating a space
that does not depend on permission. — Our thirteenth voice: ✌️ Enzo 🤝 @auenco 🫶 Two more will follow. #Area05

Had an amazing time visiting multiple cities in France: Lyon > Bordeaux > Nice! Not only was this an amazing vacation with my brother, sister in law, and friends, it was such an honor to be there and watch @kaylafaye20 & @leemoulton tie the knot at the wonderful Château Gassies! Also gained some new friends, like @blockpanorama who got some amazing flicks of me! #LeeAndKaylaSayOui

AREA 04 — WHEN ANGER BECOMES INFORMATION. This is the point where anger changes. It is no longer only pain.
No longer only tension.
No longer only confusion. It starts to become clear. AREA 04 is about the moment when anger stops looking like drama
and starts looking like information. A signal.
A reaction.
A truth. Because sometimes anger is not the problem. Sometimes it is the first honest sign
that something has gone too far. I think many of us were taught to mistrust anger. To tone it down.
To explain it away.
To make it smaller.
To turn it into shame before it can say anything real. But anger can also be deeply precise. It can show you where a line was crossed.
Where something stopped being okay.
Where your body understood the truth before your mind had the words. For me, this Area is not about rage for the sake of rage. It is about recognition. The moment when a reaction stops being something to hide
and becomes something to listen to. Not as revenge.
Not as chaos.
Not as “too much”. But as proof. This is AREA 04. The place where anger begins to tell the truth. 🙏✨💖 Artwork photography by @blockpanorama #BETROGENERTRAUM

AREA 03 — THE SYSTEM THAT MAKES YOU FEEL SMALL. This is the part where something becomes clearer. Not everything that hurts looks violent.
Not everything that uses you looks cruel.
Sometimes it looks polite.
Professional.
Normal. AREA 03 is about those moments when you are expected to feel grateful,
even though you are actually being used. You say thank you.
You stay easy.
You try not to be difficult.
You lower your needs.
You make yourself smaller,
just to stay inside the room. And for a while,
that can even look like the right thing to do. But at some point, you realize: being tolerated
is not the same
as being valued. That is what this Area holds for me. The quiet system.
The invisible hierarchy.
The kind of structure that keeps taking,
while making you feel like asking for basic respect is already too much. AREA 03 is where the shame begins to move. Away from yourself.
And back to where it belongs. You were not asking for too much.
You were just being taught to stay small. This is AREA 03. 🙏✨💖 Artwork photography by @blockpanorama #BETROGENERTRAUM

AREA 02 — WHEN PRESSURE STARTS TO FEEL NORMAL. This is where something begins to shift. Not loudly.
Not all at once.
Not in a way other people immediately notice. You keep going.
You answer.
You work.
You smile. And somewhere in between,
you realize: functioning is not the same as being okay. AREA 02 is about the moment when pressure starts to feel normal. When your body already knows something is wrong,
but your mind is still trying to stay polite. When the promise has not fully broken yet —
but something inside you has started to understand. Nothing explodes at first. It just gets harder to breathe inside your own life. Sometimes the breaking point does not look dramatic. It looks like carrying too much for too long.
Like still showing up.
Like still doing everything right.
Like pretending you are fine because stopping would make everything real. For me, this is where anger begins. Not as fire.
Not as revenge.
Not as something loud. But as a quiet signal from the body: This no longer feels right. This is AREA 02. Pressure.
Shift.
The moment before truth becomes impossible to ignore. 🙏✨💖 Artwork photography by @blockpanorama #BETROGENERTRAUM
