After a months-long fight with distribution over things like *METADATA*, I woke up this morning to find that my record “The Artifacts of Letting Go (Deluxe Version)” has been released! (great!!)

Normally I’d have a well thought-out post for this excitement, but given the (terrible/lack of) communication I had with distro, I had come to terms with this never coming out ‼️ so I’m freestylin’ here. Just this year I’ve released songs with my friends @luvcallum and @daphneeckmanmusic . Last year with @willwright58music and @chris_diller_music ~

Alas, two years ago I released my best record with an all star lineup of musicians. I planned on releasing a deluxe version with several additional tracks last year and then Forest died and life happened and I didn’t write or record much for a long time, other than my acoustic record “Every Color of The Rainbow Bridge”.

“The Artifacts of Letting Go (Deluxe)” is a revival of songs I’m really proud of, collaborations with super talented friends, and a demo track of “I Loved It All”.

The COOLEST thing you could do would be to tune in and let yourself be transported back to the first time you heard these songs- maybe the first time you heard @misterjohnlove snare hits open the record on Bouncin’ Around, or maybe our beautiful sold-out record release show at @manormillmonkton, or @liveat49west, or some other place you think of when you hear Stars in Michigan or Lemonade. So happy to have my friend @daphneeckmanmusic on this new version of my old fantasyland track about diggin’ and escaping the underworld 🧜‍♀️

Daphne came to the studio, warmed up for like 5 mins, did two takes of her verse, a few harmonies, and @tobyvalmas said “cool…that was the best vocal performance I’ve experienced in my studio”

1 year of Cinco in the house! And mostly out of the house. He’s been given many Friendliest Dog of All Time awards from friends and strangers.

He’s been on 5 tours this year, with @skribemusic and @talbotmayomusic, out to the west coast, and swam in the Atlantic and Pacific. He’s spent long days in the studio, longer days on the road, visited 28 states, 5 national parks, and probably 200 dog parks. Cheers bro

My debut EP/mini Album drops Sunday May 31st on ALL platforms!
Soooo much hard work, long nights, tears, and true heart went into this and I cannot wait for it all to be yours!

I found myself on a bill with @luvcallum at a songwriter event hosted by @ejsparrows winter of 2024. A year later we were in the studio creating a new version of Gardener 🪴🤘

Cal’s voice and perspective and harmony choices did so much for this song that I already loved. I think @johnmayer would be proud. He’d definitely be impressed re: Cal’s multitasking as I don’t think she tracked a single vocal take without petting a dog part-way through.
