Throwing it back to this sweet little wedding. I love when couples prioritize what they truly want out of their wedding day. Shelby and Mike had me start with their first look and portraits together. They skipped the "getting ready" photos since they felt they weren't as important to them.

We stayed cozy in their incredible hotel room as they exchanged gifts, shed some tears and some big laughs together and then got into some fun portraits!

We made our way over to the venue to meet family and friends for some more portraits before the rest of their guests arrived for ceremony!

They did first dances and cocktails in headhouse square and then we made our way over to @bloomsdayphilly
Where the couple rented out the restaurant for the evening.

Guests mingled over cocktails and yummy dishes as a few family members gave speeches!

It was truly the most perfect day for these two 🫶

Philly, we love you! What a wildly fun, hospitable city that’s absolutely packed with charm, grit, and sensational food & wine. It was a blast to be back in the city of brotherly love. Hugest thanks to our intrepid distro partner @mfwwineco for hauling me all over Philly and the burbs to pour our wines, and lots of love to @pizzacamp and @pizzeriabeddiaphilly for hosting a bumpin’ Weds night Wine Camp. Can’t wait to do it again sometime soon!

Society Hill’s @lorettasphilly has the pop tart you begged your mom for, made from scratch.

It’s the bakery from the team behind @bloomsdayphilly, tucked into Headhouse Square. On weekends, the line often spills out the door.

Highlights:
· Frosted cherry pop tarts
· Constellation Brownies, the rainbow-chip brownie all grown up
· Sweet fruit and savory hand pies
· The Maggie: sesame bagel, cream cheese, veggies
· The Emma: chicken salad, cilantro ginger mayo, red cabbage, chile, apple

If someone shot a ’90s rom-com in Philadelphia, I’m pretty sure these are the places they’d film it.

Fall is when Philadelphia really starts making the case. The brick sidewalks, tree-lined streets, corner coffee shops, independent bookstores and neighborhood places where you can actually become a regular.

And east of Broad, so much of it is close enough to experience on foot.

Coffee at @redhookphilly in Queen Village, browsing @headhousebooks, a walk through Washington Square park, a movie at the @ritzmovietheaters in Old City, Delancey Street in Society Hill, and wine at @bloomsdayphilly could very easily be one Saturday.

Which may be why this city lends itself so well to a rom-com. You don’t have to manufacture much.

Song of the summer? More like SALAD of the summer! Inspired by a salad I had @bloomsdayphilly months ago and have been recreating ever since. Swipe for the salad that launched a thousand salads.

Make it now before the seasons turn: crunchy lettuce, thinly sliced celery, onion/shallot, homemade croutons/breadcrumbs, cheddar, and the dressing to which I’ve never measured ingredients (follow your heart) horseradish, old bay, aoli / mayo, ACV, dill, salt, garlic

August has been an excitin' month ✨ after stumbling upon a rly amazing, vintage quilt, I was inspired to create state flower embroidery projects. drawing and stitching each state was a labor of l-u-v but majorly worth it after seeing how much y'all dig this one. we'll be offering this once more in September (and might even be adding a new state (!!), so keep an eye out ✨

also, I bought a house!! I always thought I would be a lifelong apartment gal, so this has been huge for me ✨ I'm very stoked to announce that I'll be a South Philly gal forever (or until I move to the forest to fulfill my woodsy, craft granny dreams)
