One of the hardest parts of parenting is knowing we won’t be there for every decision our children make.

Maybe the real goal isn’t being there every time. Maybe it’s helping them build the confidence and judgment to make good choices when we’re not in the room.

That’s what my daughter and I have been exploring this month on @bloomsterlearning, and it’s led to some truly meaningful conversations.

I never thought I would become the mom who yelled all the time. But somewhere between work, laundry, dishes, schedules, overstimulation, and trying to hold everything together… I did.

And the worst part? The more I yelled, the less anyone actually listened. 😞

I know so many moms can relate to that feeling of constantly repeating yourself all day long until eventually your nervous system just snaps.

I think sometimes as moms we focus so much on correcting behavior that we forget to teach the skills behind the behavior. Kids aren’t born knowing how to process frustration, disappointment, anger, or overstimulation. They need tools — and sometimes we do too. 🤍

I’m so glad we found Bloomster. One thing I love is that it’s designed specifically for kids ages 9–14, which is such an important age emotionally. It gives them age-appropriate lessons and tools in a way they actually connect with instead of feeling like another lecture from mom.

And honestly… our home feels different now. Calmer. Happier. More connected.

Teaching emotional regulation has changed the energy in our home more than I expected, and I’m so grateful we found something that supports both kids AND parents through it. 🤍

Watching her learn how to pause, process, and respond instead of react… 🥹

This is the kind of growth you can’t measure with grades.
So excited to start this journey with Bloomster Learning 🌱

Tweens are in that beautiful, confusing space between childhood and teenage years 🕰️

full of questions, big feelings and new experiences. 📚🧠
The right stories can give them language for what’s happening inside.

Here are 4 Indian books that gently support tweens’ emotional growth:

Sudha Murty – Grandma’s Bag of Stories

Devika Rangachari – Queen of Fire

Asha Nehemiah – The Grand Chapatti Contest

Rupa Gulab – Daddy Come Lately

Together, these books help tweens see their feelings as normal, understandable and worth talking about. 💛

If you’d like the links to any of these books, just DM me, and I’ll share them with you directly. 📥📚

Did you know…

I’m a mama to 3
I’m a homeschooler
I’m a curriculum writer

With a passion for philosophy, art, literature and free will, I committed to homeschooling my kiddos from day one.

It has been such a magical and rewarding journey this far. I’m amazed at all we have learned together and how we have grown.

Reading, writing and creating together has given us the closest relationships. I feel so grateful that we have flung ourselves into this wholeheartedly on the easy days and the challenging ones.

While I’ve written curriculum for adults, my own kiddos, and for @bloomsterlearning I am now considering packaging the curriculum I’ve written for parents and homeschoolers to use for their kiddos.

What a wild ride?! I’ve toyed with this idea in the past and waves of second guessing and self doubt held me back.

My website has an entire learning platform built in and this is something I feel passionately about. So, here we go!

Initial roll out will be for kiddos 8-14. As I get rolling, I’ll circle back around to the earlier elementary kiddos and the tots.

Hang tight! More information to come 🎉
