Notes: Featured above are more detailed shots of the custom commission for @daveyfriday from yesterday’s post.

“We incorporated a mix between his watercolor art converted into printed denim and my denim bleach wash technique in one garment set. The jacket is my 2 pocket trucker jacket and the jeans are my latest 8 pocket design. The most challenging aspect was laying out the prints on the pattern in a way that was cohesive with the contrast material, highlighted the art, and wasn’t too busy.”

@daveyfriday thanks for the opportunity! 🙏🏾

Notes: Featured above is yet another custom commission from @daveyfriday for a denim set. This time we incorporated a mix between his watercolor art converted into printed denim and my denim bleach wash technique in one garment set. The jacket is my 2 pocket trucker jacket and the jeans are my latest 8 pocket design. The most challenging aspect was laying out the prints on the pattern in a way that was cohesive with the contrast material, highlighted the art, and wasn’t too busy. @daveyfriday thanks for the opportunity! 🙏🏾

Notes: @bouncecastle commissioned the jeans above. They feature multiple Japanese 14oz left hand and right hand twill, light and dark indigo denim scraps used from several previous orders all mixed together on my latest 8 pocket design. They also feature mixed matched antique copper and nickel hardware with traditional light gold top stitch. Be sure to catch one of @bouncecastle DJ sets, you won’t be disappointed. 🙏🏾

Notes: @on_pho_nem commissioned this piece, never did an apron before this project. It was a 6 pocket design with a cross strap back. The body was cut from a 13oz Japanese selvedge that was the width of the garment from end to end with the edge displayed on both sides. It also features copper hardware rivets and eyelets for the straps. Super clean design! Shouts out to @on_pho_nem for the opportunity 🙏🏾, also go get a plate from him his food is amazing!

Notes: Featured above is a custom commission for a pair of jeans from @daveyfriday . He wanted the denim to incorporate old map views of Central Park in NY. Being the resourceful man he is, he was able to find scans of the maps and print them on denim textiles for me to sew with. I applied the printed textile to my 8 pocket design including thigh pockets hidden in the detail. These jeans also included 13oz olive and khaki selvedge denim for contrast. Shouts out to Davey for the opportunity, and also check out his art @daveyfriday 🙏🏾

(Note: The jacket shown was designed and constructed by @tylermorganstu .)

Notes: The custom jeans seen in the photo set above were commissioned by @vicmensa . I believe at the time he was preparing for a tour and wanted some jeans that were inspired by the clothing worn by the band @the_clash . This 8 pocket design featured 13oz black stretch denim, one piece crotch gusset, 4 zip pockets, zipper split hem, and Riri hardware. Vic was one of my earliest supporters, big shout out to him for the love! 🙏🏾

Notes: Another clean and simple 6 pocket color blocked jean for a custom order client. I went with an assortment of bone white, sand, and olive 14oz Japanese selvedge color blocked into one design. They featured a medium rise straight leg design with copper hardware.
