Five Places to Grab a Drink in Charlotte This Fall:
1. @pollyannasbar: Always a solid move before or after a nibble @optimisthallclt. The combination of the intimate indoor space and the covered/uncovered outdoor patio makes it a good choice
in any weather. 🌞
2. @losingtheplotclt: Plot Twist has a super interesting menu because you can order any of their drinks as a Cocktail, Mocktail, or Coffee. Flavor profiles include options like Ube Coconut, Mountain Berry, Thai Tea, Lavender Vanilla, and Brown Sugar Cardamom. They also start serving cocktails at 7am (except Sunday of course) which makes this a popular hang for the night shift heroes. ☕️
3. @huckleberryclt: The side yard of this restored 1913 NoDa mill house was a little blustery during our visit due to some powerful fans, but once the autumn chill renders these unnecessary, the flower garden vibe promises a cozy retreat. 🌸
4. @bluedoorclt: This has been my favorite cocktail bar in Charlotte since it opened and no one has been able to steal its crown over a 2-year timespan. Their drinks are just so. damn. good. and their creative biannual menus keep things fresh. With the last iteration prior to the current Halloween popup, "Queen And Revenge," you could read a bit of history about the pirate that inspired your libation. They've now transitioned to Nightmare on Mint Street. 👻
5. @allpurposebar: I recently visited for the first time and my high expectations were met and exceeded. The high quality of the cocktails was to be predicted (it's a Larry Suggs joint after all,) but I was also pleasantly surprised to find that A. the cocktails were $15 in an increasingly $20 world, and B. there was some truly weird and wonderful stuff on this menu. Do yourself a favor and order the Peas & Pepper. 🫑

🪲🤍Pop-up Bar Hours:
Thursday: 4pm - 12am
Friday & Saturday: 4pm - 1am

🎥🍿Monday Night Movie Night at 7pm and they will have some cocktail classes! Expect food and insane decor.

👻Next is Haunted Hifi at @deepcutshifi
Open Tuesday - Saturday every week
✨Tuesday - Thursday: 5pm-10pm
✨Fri 5pm - 2am Saturday: 2pm-2am
They do have a food menu and live DJ Thurs-Sun

👻Then we have @thenightmarebar at Foobar
This is a 90 min ticketed experience at the bar where a host leads you through interactive games. Personally, the parking made this tough to get to and overall the gaming part of the show fell flat for me.

We finally made it out to The Blue Door for their Halloween pop-up! 🎃👻🍸

One of the best parts? You can make reservations! No standing outside waiting, especially on the first chilly evening we’ve had here in CLT! 🍂

It’s just one of the many spots in and around Charlotte going all out with themed pop-ups and seasonal experiences!

Something wicked has taken over Blue Door, and the monsters are officially out to play!

For Nightmare on Mint Street, I decided to dig up some of Universal’s most iconic monsters and bring them back from the dead, one cocktail at a time.

Eight monsters, eight cocktails, and plenty of tricks, treats, and things that go bump in the night.

A little spooky, a little creepy, and a whole lot of Halloween magic. Everything I love about this time of year, poured into a glass.

The crypt is open all October long, so dust off your cobwebs, crawl out of your coffin, and come raise a little hell with us.
