How do we spark our children’s interest in nature and growing? 👧🏼 🐞🐛 On this tiny terrace off their daughter’s bedroom, our plant-loving clients embraced a 🪴garden, giving their daughter a lovely outdoor play space, with room to dig 🪏. A trip to the local farmer’s market, to pick seedlings (lettuce, peppers, purple basil) further piqued interest. Exploring, trying, getting a little dirty... 🌱 The simple, timeless activity of gardening may be one of the best we can cultivate for the next generation- and ourselves!

We LOVE 💗 that inside her bedroom, @fawngalliinteriors immersed their daughter in a jungley print wallpaper as well 🌴 🐦 🌾. Fun!

Appearances can be deceiving! As @annie.goldsmith captures so well in her recent article in @elledecor ... 🤩 When a historic Beaux arts style townhouse in the Upper West Side is reimagined for a young family + grandparents, the resulting updates create a vibrant, contemporary home environment, with nature at the core. Thank you for featuring this special home and garden 🏡 @elisalipskykarasz with: @fawngalliinteriors

We are often asked how we work with new clients. There are so many answers to this question! For this particular multilevel townhouse project, we worked closely with landscape architect @lizpulverdesign to bring her beautiful vision to life. This project had many phases, over many months, and we worked closely with the clients’ architects, interior designers, and contractors alongside our friends at NewYork Green Roofs and the irrigation team at Rooftop Drops to create these unique and verdant garden spaces. A carefully curated planter selection of artisan fabricated pots completes this gorgeous garden, and we cannot wait to see this garden grow and flourish in the years to come! #nycgarden #nyctownhouse #collaboration #landscapedesign #gardendelights

Located in New York City’s West Village, this sunken garden includes shade tolerant plantings, hanging wall planters with ferns, and multiple layers of lighting... all of which serve to enliven the space and create a year-round garden.
