I lead the yoga teacher trainings at Blue Osa in Costa Rica.

After 30 years in yoga, these are still the questions I ask myself in the middle of class.

Are my students safe? Will they leave stronger than they arrived, or weaker because I stretched them? Can I explain why this pose is in my sequence, or did I throw it in because it looked good?

Ahimsa isn't only a sutra. It's a cue.

And yes, the playlist line is a dig. I don't play music in my classes, so that's one less thing to stress about. Teachers, which question do you ask yourself?

Save this for your next class.

Yoga teacher training daily routine!

There is so much more to yoga that many of us will never learn or understand, and I feel very fortunate to have deepened my knowledge of this ancient practice.

Establishing a strict morning routine was the most challenging yet rewarding task. Meditating for an hour and a half. No speaking until 8am. Wifi off. Being fully disconnected and having to sit with yourself without distraction really does bring you closer to your inner self.

There is still so much for me to learn, but I'm leaving this experience filled with gratitude and a new perspective on my life and the practice of yoga. Felling inspired, excited, and so ready to begin teaching my own yoga classes!

Thank you @blueosa @yogi_aaron @tidalyogasiestakey and @meganmerantothompson for making this experience unforgettable 🫶🫶

Sunset reservations on the rooftop. Yoga at 8:30 AM. A little Tulum sunshine on the calendar.

My upcoming stay at @distritopanamera is already shaping up to be the perfect blend of relaxation, wellness, and exploring a new property (thank @karendeluz). The morning yoga sessions are bringing me back to my first yoga retreat at @blueosa in @visit_costarica, where I experienced how special it can be to slow down and make space for yourself while traveling.

I’m looking forward to experiencing everything this Tulum property has to offer, from those sunset views to the little moments that make a stay memorable.

Thinking about heading south for the winter? Whether you’re planning a couples’ escape, a friends’ getaway, or a group retreat, let me help you discover a destination that fits your vision. As a Certified Travel Agent and Travel Content Creator, I love finding experiences that go beyond simply booking a room.

Where could you be enjoying your next sunset? Let’s start planning your escape.

A “yoga retreat” is not a beach vacation with two classes a day. That’s marketing, not practice.

A real retreat removes the external noise so your nervous system can actually settle. Without that, nothing changes when you get home.

Comment “RETREAT” and I’ll show you what changed when I built mine.

Side quest: doing my yoga teacher training in Costa Rica 🙈

I'm literally so excited to be spending the next two weeks immersing myself in my yoga practice. Becoming a yoga teacher has always been a dream of mine and I can't believe I'm finally doing it.

Since I'm already living in Costa Rica, this felt like the perfect opportunity for me to do my training in one of the most beautiful places in the world.

I can already feel the energy of how transformative this experience is going to be for me. I'm filled with gratitude 🧘‍♀️

I’ll say what most teachers won’t: modern yoga isn’t respecting your anatomy.

That’s why so many practitioners end up in chronic pain, stuck, or constantly dealing with recurring injuries. They’re forced through passive stretches and routines that simply aren’t built for how the human body actually operates.

It’s not that you’re doing it wrong — the traditional practice is failing you.
Real yoga should build functional stability, core strength, and lasting mobility, not wear your joints down over time.

Ready to discover the truth about how your body is meant to move?

👇 Comment “YOGA” below and I’ll send the full video directly to your DMs so you can see what the industry isn’t telling you! 📩🔥

Healing is hard.
Healing hurts.
Healing brings triggers out of you that you forgot about and buried a long time ago.
You don’t always need to push through, “seem” strong.
