Little Willie Farmer is living proof that Mississippi continues to produce deep blues. The 62-year-old guitarist is neither a
soul modernist nor revivalist, but simply a small town auto mechanic who’s never shaken his love for old school legends like Muddy, Wolf and Lightnin’. /////////////
This Friday Feb 8!! Look forward to making some real music with #WillieFarmer , another fellow #MusicMakerReliefFoundation artist, in Northern VA!! /////////////
In 2017, the Austrian blues label, Wolf Records International, released #LittleWillieFarmer 's first album “I’m Coming Back Home.” On it, he alternates between acoustic and electric guitar, playing a style that closely resembles that of Lightnin’ Hopkins. ///////////// “The Man From the Hill” is Willie Farmer's newest release due out in March 2019. Farmer enjoyed working in a North Mississippi Hill Country vein with #JimboMathus and session drummer George Sluppick. //////////////
Check out his upcoming release on #BigLegalMessRecords !! ///////////// @musicmakerblues @biglegalmess @therealjimbomathus #blues #hillcountryblues #solroots #solrootsmusic #mississippiblues #dcmusicscene #vamusicscene #franklinparkartscenter #bluesguitar #MusicMakerRevue

Lookin' forward to this show coming up Sunday March 11!! Lil' Ed & The Blues Imperials with Sol Roots for The #DCBluesSociety !! It's been a while since we caught up with Lil Ed and crew- gonna be a fun night! Still remember crossing paths with Lil Ed & #BluesImperials in Lucerne Switzerland, #ChicagoBluesFestival, the #LegendaryBluesCruise, and few other spots- they ALWAYS put on a great show - mark it on your calendar if you're in the area.... Sol Roots is proud to be a "Next Generation" #MusicMakerReliefFoundation artist and a #HomeGrownMusicNetwork artist.

Lil Ed & Blues Imperials:
"From smoking slide guitar boogies to raw-boned Chicago shuffles to the deepest slow blues, guitarist/vocalist/songwriter #LilEd Williams is an awe-inspiring master bluesman. He and his blistering, road-tested band, The Blues Imperials—guitarist #MikeGarrett, bassist James #Pookie Young, drummer #KellyLittleton—are celebrating 20 amazing years together. Live, #LilEdAndTheBluesImperials simply can't be beat as Ed breaks out the deepest back-bends, the highest toe-walks, and the most authentic electric slide-guitar blues being played today. Not since the heyday of Hound Dog Taylor & The HouseRockers has a #Chicagoblues band made such a consistently joyous, rollicking noise." Photo credit: Marco Van Rooijen
