SQRL Pilots win 2026 World Acro Championships

Congratulations to Team Sweden, which took gold in wingsuit Acro in their first ever World championship, followed closely by France in second and USA in third.

The top four teams battled it out to the very last round with all four in close contention, it was an exciting competition to be watching from the sidelines as each video and scores were being posted up.

There was some drama with the judges confusing some free routine barrel rolls with out of control flight, and some pretty brutal style scores that ended up shaping the overall outcome of the event.

8 out of 9 teams flew SQRL, with Squirrel pilots winning Gold and Bronze.

Acrobatic Teams
🥇 Sweden - Fiona Jansen, Miquel Moncada Urquijo, Thomas Kluzniak (All flying the Freak 6)
🥈 France - Boris Paturet, Nicolas Minvielle, Thomas Dupache (Intrudair)
🥉 USA - Alexander Knaub, Clark Robinson, Joseph Lohmuller (All flying the Freak 6)

BUBBA GUMP 2026 🇬🇧🪂

Come for the wingsuiting.
Stay for the good people.
Get rained on anyway. 😂🌧️

Had an absolute blast being a load organizer for this year’s Bubba Gump camp again.

Huge thanks to the whole staff, the pilots keeping us in the sky, and every single participant who showed up ready to fly, laugh and send it.

Some great jumps, great company and way too many good memories to fit into one video.

The English weather did its best to stop us… but apparently it wasn’t trying hard enough.

Same time next year? 🤙

SQRL pilots have swept the USA Nationals podium for the 7th consecutive year.

Alexey Galda reports.
“It was an unusual Nationals event this year. We flew most of the competition into a strong cross/head wind rather than the usual downwind direction. The headwind eased as the meet went on, so scores climbed round by round and by the last round the whole field was flying noticeably further than on day one. It was great to see such a wide range of skill levels on the same field: 13 competitors in Open, six of them women, with Amelia Dunaway taking bronze in the overall.”

All pilots flew the CR+

1. Alexey Galda
2. Iurii Cartev
3. Amelia Dunaway

In the Acro competition, team TurkeyLabs took gold, setting a new National Record for the longest acro sequence at 49 docks. Compared to last year, TurkeyLabs averaged 50% more docks per round, nearing 120 seconds of working time per round. They were followed closely by Those Damn Immigrants in second and Noooo Touchy rounding out the top three.

Congratulations to all five teams for giving it their all.

1. TurkeyLabs
2. Those Damn Immigrants
3. Noooo Touchy
