Had a KILLER interview with the godfather of Tulsa comedy Evan Hughes.

One of the biggest takeaways was BE VISIBLE. Go to showcases, club spots, any event with comedy. You never know who's watching or what opportunity might arise.

Thank you to everyone who keeps encouraging me, supporting me, and cheering me on.

I didn’t grow up believing in my ability to support myself in the arts. Slowly as that comes closer and closer, I appreciate the people who have been there since the start and those who have become my biggest cheerleaders.

I wish you could realize you are in the good old days before they were gone… I am pretty sure I am living in those good old days now.

@evanbhughes is known as the Godfather of Tulsa and is one of the most influential people in the Tulsa comedy community. Every year, he has a hand in planning the @bluewhalecomedyfest and one of the things he puts together is a stellar showcase of some of the best comics in Tulsa and OKC! Check out the pics here!

We also had the pleasure of interviewing Evan for our upcoming video presentation of our time at the festival. Be sure to check it out when it launches this Friday at 11am on the @rhythmandwit YouTube channel!

At last month's @bluewhalecomedyfest out in Tulsa, OK, we were able to catch another one of the headliners on Saturday at @cainsballroom Side Stage.

@ehsanjahmad is an up and coming comedian and a regular at the world famous Comedy Mothership. He has appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience and has been a guest on Kill Tony three times.

It was such a pleasure getting to see him perform and of course getting to see our good friend @cody.troutman host for him!

I didn't get to catch a lot of improv at this year's @bluewhalecomedyfest but here are some pics from the Improv Showcase at @chimeratulsa on Saturday, August 22nd!

Great sets from Romeo & Maude, @badhabitimprov and the outstanding @silentpartnerscomedy!

Check out these photos the Friday night of @bluewhalecomedyfest 2026 on the main stage of @cainsballroom! The headliners for Friday were SNL's own @melissavcomedy and the @wolvesofglendale. It was so cool to see some of our good friends host and open the show!
