Strength has a softer side. ✨

Sometimes strength looks like effort.
Sometimes it looks like ease.

Sometimes it’s holding steady, and sometimes it’s allowing yourself to flow.

One of the beautiful things about yoga is discovering that strength and softness aren’t opposites. They actually support one another.

And when we learn to move with less resistance and more awareness, something begins to shift—both on and off the mat.

There’s room for every body, every experience, and every expression of strength at Southern Om.

Come find your flow. 🔥

Some of my best ever holiday memories began in the summer of 1994, stepping off a plane onto an island I knew only through stories and mixtapes. A dirt-cheap Club 18-30 package holiday, a pocket full of saved-up cash, and absolutely no idea what was waiting for me.

The morning sun pouring through the roof and glass at Amnesia and Ku. The supersonic roar of planes heard overhead on the Terrace at Space on a Sunday daytime. Incredible long nights at Pacha. Long afternoons recovering by the pool before going to watch the sunset at Cafe Del Mar and then doing it all over again. An island that still felt beautifully unpolished, where the dance floors were the only destinations.

No VIP culture. No phones held aloft. Just records, people and moments that seemed to stretch on forever. I was bitten with the bug and returned many times after that.

My latest ‘Surface Noise’ radio show is a journey back to that feeling. A collection of sounds, memories and half-forgotten postcards from an Ibiza that exists now mostly in photographs, stories and the grooves of old records.

A love letter to Ibiza….

Finally got round to uploading my August radio show from Love Will Save the Day.FM.

It’s a bit of a happy scrappy accident of a show as I didn’t have as much time as usual to prepare for it. We go in lots of different musical directions.

Expect two hours of sublime vinyl noise taking in all sorts of sounds from oddball cosmic spiritual folk from 1982 through to life affirming euphoric dance music and loads more in between.

Come join in the fun over at @lwstd.fm
