Los Angeles and New Orleans based photographer @blvxmth's solo show with @f_magazine in Houston is a continual reexamination of the mechanisms and materials of photography. His methods include double exposures, long exposures, and the “decisive moment.” Some works utilize mechanical accident and chance, some appear handmade and painterly. Despite the variety and difference of these images, this exhibition presents a cohesive through-line for which light is persistent.

In 2020, when the world turned inward, our work took on a new meaning and relevance. As our team thought deeply about the present manifestations of our mission, we recognized the need to reaffirm our commitment to artists and their work.

In 2021, we were proud to launch new programs, exhibitions, residencies and sites on the South Side, all with an unwavering dedication to enriching our community through support for artists.

As we look forward to all we will achieve together this year, we are grateful to reflect on the past year and our successes on the ground. We invite you to explore our 2021 impact through our annual report video below. Thank you for your continued belief in the power of our work.
