POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Medical DNF last Saturday. Very disheartening in the middle of it knowing it wasn’t a fitness problem but a blood sugar management problem

After having time to reflect, it was clearly the right decision especially avoiding an icu visit.

It’s a lesson learned

I’ll be on the starting line of the 2 cities marathon back where everything started in 2024

My first ever marathon

Then 4 weeks later that year, I was admitted into the icu with Diabetic ketoacidosis

This will mark 2 years with the disease

Im excited to go in with real fitness, celebrating my decision to push the limit, & demonstrate Gods Glory.

Here we go!

What a weekend. The result wasn’t what I wanted, but the reality of operating with Type 1 Diabetes means the risks go far beyond muscle fatigue.

My body was in the best physical shape of my life. I wasn't in pain, and I had a lot more to give. But my race ended early

During transition 1, high blood sugar levels accelerated severe dehydration. My carb-to-liquid ratio was off, my gut completely shut down, and the nausea set in. Pushing through would have put me at direct risk of going back into DKA. Finishing the race was not worth the cost to my long-term health, so I made the hard call to pull the plug.

Saturday was not a failure.

I self-hosted a DIY iron-distance triathlon in our community while managing a race crew, directing a documentary, leading a marketing campaign, competing, and managing a chronic illness. You don’t need a sanctioned race to do the hard thing, and you don’t need a pat on the back for doing it.

To the friends, family, and community who showed up on every leg to support me and raise awareness for Type 1 Diabetes: thank you. It took a village, and I am incredibly grateful.

Two days post-race, the delirium is gone, and I am fired up. I am analyzing every detail of my blood sugar management and dialing in the ratios to prevent this from ever happening again.

The mission stays the same: raise awareness for T1D, demonstrate God's greatness, and find out what is truly possible.

The launch — a look into the moments before the timer starts.

A behind-the-scenes look at the anticipation, the details, my support team, and the final seconds before it all comes to life. Every great launch has a story… and this is mine.

🏀THIS IS WHAT DEVELOPMENT LOOKS LIKE!

~ Every workout. Every REP..Every correction…Every kid who decides to push past what they thought they could do.

~ This isn’t about chasing highlights.
It’s ABOUT BUILDING HABITS.
It’s ABOUT BUILDING CONFIDENCE.
It’s ABOUT BUILDING basketball players, and (RESILIENT) YOUNG Men and Women.

- This RECAP is just a glimpse of what we’ve been putting in.. The work is happening, the players are developing, and we’re just getting started. 🔥

(If you’re a parent, player, coach, school or program looking to take development to another level — let’s work).

- (camera work done by one of the greats in his field )!📸

Bittersweet feeling as my time in Cali has come to an end! Proud to have followed in my father’s footsteps in serving my country, and I couldn’t be more thankful for the lifelong friends, memories, and experiences the Navy brought me. California will forever have a special place in my heart, but all good things must come to an end. Love y’all 🫶🏼
