Hi everyone! My name is Grace Barfield and I will be a Junior this upcoming school year. I am so excited for rush and cannot wait to meet so many new girls. That being said, rush is right around the corner so here are a few tips I wish that I knew before going into recruitment… 💌💌

1. Don’t sweat the small things…. Be your true authentic self and the rest will fall into place!
2. Be! Open! Minded!!! I can’t stress this enough. We all know girls go into rush with certain expectations but allow those expectations to change if you end up falling in love with a house you didn’t expect to. That’s okay! That’s exactly what the recruitment process is for.
3. Focus on YOUR rush and not your friends. People have different experiences at every house. Trust what you felt when you were at a house and don’t sway to feel something different because your friend didn’t have that same experience!
4. Branch out ALWAYS!!!!! College is for meeting new people… Your friends coming in will still be your friends after recruitment. What matters is the new friends you will have once joining a sorority.
5. Enjoy every second. Recruitment can be stressful but make the most of it. This is your first opportunity to meet new girls. Don’t let the stress of recruitment get in the way of making so many new great girlfriends.

We are so excited for each and everyone of you to go through recruitment this August. Rush can seem like a very intimidating process but it doesn’t have to be. Stay true to yourself, trust the process, and have a blast all week meeting new friends. We cannot wait to meet every single one of you! 🤗🥳🤍
