Auckland adventures to escape the matrix!
5 days of walking, eating, drinking, people watching and relaxing.
Not as exciting as Europe or Thailand but no work, dishes or routine was a real treat. A change of scenery, a break from Groundhog day and blue sky and sun… just what we all needed!

As the days get shorter it has been feeling a lot like groundhog day, so Petros and I got off the couch on Saturday night and took a stroll to Aro St. @octo.aro is the perfect place for an evening tipple and a snack. We could have easily settled in for the night!! 🤪 Such a cool new bar and new home for @octo_herb record store. Highly recommend! Well worth taking my Uggs off for!!

It has definitely taken awhile to get used to the new norm. We have gone from 9 to 6 (The Welly ‘frothers’) and tonight just 3 of us! Poor old Lucy ‘loving’ hanging with the olds and joined us on our beer bike dinner adventure. #temoanataxis

It’s been a while since I have been for a pedal. No wind and a new cycleway. So no excuses! My back didn’t like it very much but a cool new addition to our city! Nice Sunday ride @bmf_0067

Cheers to the birthday boy! 56 ❤️ Birthday eggs, a bath with vineyard views, pressies and homemade cards, delicious lunch @moyhallwines, golf (9 holes with a cart!) with Lucy and finished off with such a fun night (minus a few of the crew!) at @napoliwgtn !! An epic few days and back to reality now with washing and chores! Life is good x

Love a ‘kiwi as’ road sign! And nothing beats biking to and from dinner and chatting to the locals again on the way home @bmf_0067 !! Dinner @therunholder was sooo good! Living our best life and not taking any of it for granted.

Cape Palliser Lighthouse to Stonewall Scenic Reserve - a cheeky 7km bike ride in 26 degrees. Stunning rugged coastline, seals and sun. Has been awhile that we took our ‘ponies’ out for an adventure. Forgot how much I love it! Thanks @bmf_0067 for being the best adventure buddy x
