Back in 2017 BMW's F82 M4 CS dethroned Alfa Romeo's Giulia QV!!! BMWs then latest incarnation of the M4, the M4 CS lapped the Magny Cours circuit nearly half a second quicker than the QV - ON THE WRONG TYRES!!! Apparently BMW sent over the car wearing Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres instead of the Cup 2 ones the car was developed with. The difference is quite notable, the car was obviously too tail happy in slower corners as the car exited. Even so, a time of 1:22.90 versus 1:23.35 for the Alfa is quite impressive.
The time posted by the M4 CS is exactly the same time posted by an M3 Competition Pack, showing there was quite a bit more to come when the CS was fitted with Cup 2 tyres. An M4 GTS posted a lap time of 1:20.40, a near full 3 seconds quicker than the Alfa, so the M4 CS wasn't a million miles away from that time...
Interestingly, the Mercedes-AMG C63 S posted a best time of 1:24.70 - not good...

A wonderful example of a BMW E30 M3 Evo II, finished in Macau Blue. The Evo II's S14 engine was tweaked to produce 220hp, slightly more than a 'standard' E30 M3..

BMWs E26 M1 - absolutely gorgeous. I wish BMW would emulate this car and produce a modern supercar, but I'm afraid with all car manufacturers racing blindfold towards electrification I just don't see it happening...

1982 ALPINA E12 B7S TURBO #22
The B7S Turbo was the fastest 4-door saloon car in the world when introduced in 1981. The B7S Turbo was powered by an M30 straight six engine tweaked by Alpina's engineers - the 3.5 litre engine was disassembled to allow the fitment of low-compression pistons and a slew of other parts to ensure the engine could withstand the extra power it would later produce. A KKK turbocharger was installed, along with a new intake manifold, an air-to-air intercooler, an all-new exhaust system and a new ignition system. The engine has an option to vary boost pressure from 0.6 to 0.9 bar, allowing power to alternate between 250hp and 330hp at 5,800rpm with 369ft lbs of torque at 3,000rpm.
330 horses in a relatively light 4-door saloon allowed the B7S Turbo to hit 60mph from rest in a scorching 5.6 seconds while you could have been king of the autobahn back in '81 with a top speed of 162mph+.
The fine example in the photos is painted in Dark Sapphire Blue with the gold Alpina decal kit, while the interior finished in Alpina's wide-stripe cloth. Just 60 were produced and this car is #22

Gorgeous F80 M3 finished in BMW Individual Purple Silk. The car runs on stunning 20" Brixton Forged R11-R wheels. Engine mods push power to 580hp and a Brembo BBK provides the stopping power. A very photogenic car and a skilled photographer also provided a nice set of photos...
