This is my full walk-around of my 2026 build so far of my M240i, and this cinematic is very important to me.

I’ve told this story before, but to visualize, I never optioned Comfort Access on this car. It was one of the things I cut to stay inside a budget I was already stretching back in 2021. Five years later I still walk up with the key in my pocket and pull a handle that doesn’t open. And every time I do so, it puts me back with the version of me who ordered it. At the time, I was a 19 year-old who wanted all of this and could afford almost none of it.

Five years ago at the same time, I mapped out what this car COULD become. Quite literally every mod, every detail, exactly how it would look and exactly how it would sound. I ran it in my head so many damn times long before I could pay for a single part of it.

In November of 2025 I started it slowly. One piece at a time in whatever order I could afford, over this past one year. There were stretches where nothing happened at all and the whole thing existed as a list in a docx file on my mac that I re-read. There were also a lot of bad stretches this year where this car was the only thing I had in my life that made any sense and kept me going.

This video is that list, halfway finished. Largely the way I envisioned it in 2021.

If you were part of this and if you gave me time, advice, a hand, helped source parts, or just took me seriously when it would have been easier not to, thank you. I know exactly who you are. It would be dishonest and egotistical to stand here and take all of this as mine alone.

A special thank you goes out to the following, those who have greatly supported me, helped me with any questions I had along the way, or directly contributed to this build in some capacity, in no particular order:

@m3brandonn @mrjustincars @bpence_26 @qwebloom @seth.gdd @6.2cam_ @f.888bbb @yyzkilo @split.416rr @kosta.1k @s58ghost @allentam911 @topgearautoservice @rmpmotors

This car is no where close to finished, but I have made good progression over this past one year. More things are planned for 2027.

The powder the BMW M division engineers were doing in Bavaria must have been some top tier shit in the mid-2000s, because what do you mean they put a V10 in an executive sedan with a 6-speed manual transmission
