SAV’s have been the death of the family hauler station wagon (estate) and receive some bad press because of it. Too big too heavy, etc..(that argument is dead with the size of modern cars) but get a good one, and I think BMW make the best of them, optioned with an endlessly flexible oil burner and you’ve set yourself up for the perfect daily driver - in the right colour of course #makebrowngreatagain #bmwx5 #bmwe70x5 #n57d30 #twinturbopower

What a pleasure it was to get up close with this championship-winning Team Schnitzer BMW E30 M3 Group A car at @collectorfred_ Cars and Coffee.

Having led a successful career racing in the 1990 Italian Touring Car Championship/CIVT championship with title-winning driver Roberto Ravaglia behind the wheel, and earning a second place finish in the 1991 Macau Guia Touring Car Race, courtesy of Emanuele Pirro, this legendary piece of machinery now resides New Zealand.

Lucky for us Kiwis, its current owner makes sure the car isn’t tucked away in the back of the shed or collecting dust in a museum. Pretty crazy to think this kind of machinery is poking around our neck of the woods!
