I mean, I’m totally normal about Kirkus loving Teach Me to Prey.

JK I’m so happy 😭😭😭😭😭 they don’t just love the book they GET IT. Exploring why people become “villains” and what villainy actually entails is one of the things I love best about writing, especially when I get to pair it with love’s soul-deep resonance. Teach Me to Prey is just as unflinching in its darkness as it is in its hope, and I am so, so proud of this book.

The dedication — which I always write before I write anything else — is: “To all those who know how fragile hope is, and cling tightly to it anyways.”

Hope is ephemeral—and eternal.

MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAA now if you love villains and antiheroes and passionate, self-sacrificing love that might damn you but might also set you free, go preorder and maybe you’ll love it as much as Kirkus did!!!! Ahhhh!!!!
