Leave the Soldiers without cell service for a few weeks and they quickly descend into techno-paganism... lol November 2017 in Camp Santiago, Puerto Rico ' I don't think this is in the scope of your project but I thought you might find it interesting. My Engineer unit was sent to Puerto Rico after hurricane Maria back in 2017. There was no power and all our generators got left behind by accident. The only entertainment we had was a boom box I had built inside an old Gen 1 night vision pelican case so that I could sneak it through with cargo and was built to charge off of a slave receptacle on a vehicle. Only problem was I only had 100 random songs downloaded on my YouTube music app. So the boys got very bored very fast but sometimes I would hit a spot of cell service and new songs would download. So I would leave my phone plugged in searching for service all the time when I was in my Loader. The guys decided to build a shrine to the YouTube gods to beg them for their music requests and started leaving offerings at the shrine. The whole thing went on for months and we shipped the shrine home with us. The sign reads "Faith in life through faith in the shuffle" and in small letters on the bottom "All hail Satan and the YouTube gods" .' via @bnjammin3
