Step into a time-honoured Chinese nature tradition this Sunday at Peck Road Water Conservation Park in collaboration with @regenerativecollective

Despite the vast ocean separating Chinese American communities from our old home (老家), we can still find cousins of Chinese native plants in California! Some of which live in the very park we'll be visiting!

Come learn about native plants and stay for the Chóng Yáng cake prepared by @bo.baked, chrysanthemum tea, and a free sachet making activity using tea bags. Traditional Chinese hebao sachet available for $5.

Something juicy is coming to Café Atelier this Tuesday. 🌸✨

We’ve been putting a little extra love into this gathering, and we can’t wait to share it with you.

Imagine vibing with healing sounds, guided somatic movement, Reiki, an energetic clearing, tea and yummy nibbles PLUS time to connect with good people. Each of us brings our own gifts, traditions, and ways of holding space, so these monthly offerings are always a little more than just a soundbath.

Come stretch, settle in, soften your shoulders, quiet the noise for a while, and let yourself receive. No experience needed. Just bring yourself as you are. Gentle arrival & gentle departures always.

We begin settling in at 6:30 PM, with Guided Yin Movement starting at 7 PM. Stay awhile after for snacks, chats, and connection until around 9 PM. 🌸

Y'all know I'm not good at posting but here are just a few of my favorite moments from this summer... that just won't end 🥵🫣

On Receiving

I’ve understood the idea that we can’t give from an empty cup for a long time, but there’s a difference between understanding it and practicing it.

This weekend, I received an ancestral Mayan womb sobada massage from Bella, @ancientleisure a gifted student in training with @ascensionalchemy_444. For some reason, I expected it to hurt, but it was gentle and nurturing. I felt physically safe and deeply held within.

Afterward, I rested in a meditative realm full of sparkles ✨, feeling divine feminine energy move through me.
Soft, alive, grounded, and free-flowing..✨

I also received a cosmic soundbath from @cosmic_expressions, who came from Las Vegas. Her deep voice and harmonic sounds created a grounded container at @AlienChurch in DTLA, even as trains announced their departures. I let myself receive: listening, feeling, noticing, and taking up space in my own mind and body.

I noticed synchronicities, too. Sharing photos of Chi during the soundbath; later, I saw her name written on the sidewalk. When I returned to my car, I had exactly one minute left on my street parking.

There is more and maybe these were all coincidences. Maybe Spirit. I don’t always know what such moments mean, and I don’t need to.

Growing up, I was made to feel that sensitivity was a weakness that noticing too much or feeling deeply was something I needed to outgrow. Now I see it differently.

My sensitivity is my greatest gift, and receiving is teaching me that this gift needs care, too.

So many of us are conditioned to give, produce, and show up for everyone else. I know this pattern intimately; I spent decades priding myself on giving everything I had.

Now I’m learning that receiving doesn’t make me less capable of giving. It gives me more capacity, more presence with my clients, family, and friends. More clarity and more space to care for myself.

Maybe that’s why I’ve been showing up here more, too. I can witness what I notice without proving what it means. If something I share helps someone pause, feel seen, or recognize something in their own life, I’m grateful.

That’s enough. 🤍

somewhere between the mountains, the water & the quiet, I found a little more of myself. 🏔️🌊

this retreat reminded me that grounding doesn’t always look like sitting still. sometimes it looks like getting outside, trying something new, laughing until your stomach hurts, waking up somewhere unfamiliar, and letting yourself simply be.

forever grateful for experiences that bring me back to myself. 🤍

and grateful to @yogihantas for guiding us through such a beautiful experience. 🧘‍♀️✨

Honoring the completion of Reiki II with two beautiful souls who have chosen to deepen their path.

Stepping from self-healing into sharing their gifts with others, learning how to protect, clear, and trust their own energy with the ability to offer distance reiki therapy and also build a practice, if they feel called.

Their intentions were sincere, rooted in their true expressions and passion for healing not just for others, but for their own continued growth.

This work asks for presence. Not perfection, but presence. A willingness to keep showing up, to listen inward, and to evolve.

I’m so proud of the space they’ve created within themselves to hold others.

Just for today, Monica and Julie, may you trust your path and share your light in the way only you can.

My containers are intentionally small and personally curated, so each experience feels supportive, spacious, and aligned for you. If you’ve been feeling called to deepen your own healing journey or learn Reiki, I’d love to connect when the time feels right. 🤍
