Late turkey season post! It was a good run the highlight of course was Miss Hana on her first and second turkeys! I was able to share the spring woods with some good people and I’m ready to do it over!

Honored. That’s the word to start this off with. A man that I think the world of, a true southern old school turkey hunter — Mr. Johnny Lanier, known to most as Doc asked me to take his grandson turkey hunting. We had one heck of a hunt, and a grand time to remember at that! Just didn’t come out of the turkey woods with the turkey. But that’s just part of it sometimes. Doc still made John Thomas hold the famous Bent Creek miss sign…

This lodge holds a special place in my heart, and always will. The history that lies within this lodge is truly remarkable to me.

Blessed to be called a Bent Creek Turkey Guide. As for John Thomas — we’ll do it again here soon! #alabama #springturkey @bentcreeklodge
