Lately I’ve been thinking in solitude. And I’ve done this for as long as I can remember. Being an only child, it’s normal. When I moved, and got those keys. The first thing I did. Was pray. Reminder: Take a second to consciously breathe.

Jesus Christ is my rock. Today marks a year of moving out of my hometown to Scottsdale, Arizona. One of the best years of my life. But it came with a cost. Some things break your heart but fix your vision. To get something you must give something in exchange. When you look at this room what do you see? Emptiness? New beginnings? I see opportunity. Proceed. Reminder: Change is scary but so is staying the same.

I’ve always been a writer. I believe there is a connection. Between writing and cognitive development. Reminder: See it. Write it. Believe it. Repeat. So what’s my point? (Stay with me now)

Well. This is a reminder to you. And that reminder is keep reminding yourself. To Slow down. Worry less. Pray about it. It’s okay to take a step back so you can jump two steps forward.

Slowing down is something I struggle with. High standards is a double edged sword. It breeds greatness. Or breaks you. Waking up feeling like what you did yesterday was not enough. That saying “1% better everyday” comes with a lot of pressure. Sometimes I ponder why I have this dying passion to be something. Maybe it’s gods will for my life. Maybe the gifts I have will inspire millions through testimony. Reminder: If you make yourself more than just a man, if you devote yourself to an idea. Then, you become something else entirely. Legend.

Don’t forget to thank the bus driver. Gratitude is something I’ve practiced since I was boy. Writing it down. Reminding others you are grateful for them. It’s the irony of social media. Over consumption had led to the demise of socializing. Reminder: Say thank you to someone today.
