POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Not really sure where to start with this summer, but first I want to say thank you to everyone who was there for the golf journey this season. I really appreciate the people who I got to play with this season, supported me and encouraged me.

A lot of people see the good rounds and the swing videos, but there’s a lot more that goes into it. Golf comes with plenty of highs, lows, frustrating rounds, and discouraging moments. The people I play with the most know you can be having the best round of your life, and one bad swing can completely change everything.

More than anything, this season taught me that progress takes time. Nothing happens overnight, you can’t let the negatives outweigh the positives.

At the beginning of the season, @christian_snowman and I set a goal of breaking 70. I’m more than happy to say I was able to accomplish that with a 66 and two rounds of 69. My handicap is currently sitting at a 2.7, and with the season coming to an end, that’s probably where it’ll stay until next year.

I’m extremely happy with the progress I made this season, but even more thankful for everyone who was a part of it.

The scores are what you guys see, but the memories, the people, the bad rounds, the times on the range, and everything it took to get there is the stuff that genuinely make it more than just a game.

Hiking Mount Tom, Field, and Willey

Definitely a tough one with @troystockwell18 and @bobbyperrotta2. Perfect day for it though. Trail was definitely steep in sections but overall not extremely bad. Tom and Field had okay views but Willey had a fantastic viewpoint just past the summit. Also hit Avalon on the way down which had awesome views as well. These were NH 4k footers 7,8, and 9 for me.

The stats:
Mount Tom - 4,051’
Mount Field - 4,340’
Mount Willey - 4,285’
Distance: 10.4 Miles and 3,800’ elevation gain
Time: 5.5 hours moving, 6 total
Route: Start at Crawford Notch Center -> A-Z Trail -> Mt. Tom Spur Trail -> Willey Range Trail -> Avalon Trail -> A-Z trail back to Crawford Notch center

Gym:
Squat - 3x5 #365
- 1x3 #405
Bench - single #325

Solid week of lifting. Included last weeks and this week’s squat. 365 for comfortable 3x5. Decided to see where I was at before I go on vacation, got 405 for a hard triple, awesome. Bench was great as well, 325 single after skiing and driving all day. Still got plenty of room left, birthday PR on Sunday. Deadlifts kinda sucked last week though, did some light stuff I didn’t include. Before I go to Wyoming on Monday, I wanna hit a big deadlift single with straps and bench PR. Let’s gooo

Ski:
Had such a great week of skiing. Skiied New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day with friends and family, went to Wachusett with the fellas, then came back up to loon with Troy. Been having hella fun with the park jumps lately, wanna start doing some bigger ones soon. Pow day tmr but gonna include that on the next post, leaving for Jackson hole Monday, gonna bring the GoPro and try and get a bunch of clips.
