✨ Saturday, October 3: Silent H B2B Professa Prince ✨
Silent H is a Brooklyn-based selector inspired by the dance floor and the roller rink. What started as a love for dancing and skating naturally led her to the decks, where she shapes a sound that resonates with her communities. She brings soulful, high-energy sets that stay true to the culture. Grounded in rhythm and connection, she creates spaces where music, movement, and community come together. She’s played at Brooklyn Skates and Xanadu and is also a resident of Love City, a collective producing events across the city.

Prince fell in love with house music in 2023, when he met two friends that he’d made online in person. They kept him up playing their favorite house music hits. Prince, historically an R&B lover, was euphoric listening to the genre. House felt like the start of a new chapter for his life. And he decided he wanted to share that feeling with everyone. He started making long playlists to play off his laptop at parks around the city, and as he performed, he watched how people reacted, and adjusted his songs accordingly. Since that early endeavor, Professa Prince has become a fixture in Bed Stuy’s vibrant Herbert Von King park where he spins for the community and dancers alike.

✨ Sunday, October 4: DJ KWEST ✨
DJ Kwest (Victor West) is a native New Yorker, born and raised on the music and vibes of the Upper West Side. A classically trained musician, West turned his talents towards DJ-ing in the mid 90’s, but growing up he was always the guy bringing records to a party. He has been the resident/guest DJ for major corporations, fashion houses and high end retailers and has played corporate events at Waldorf Astoria Ballroom, the Mandarin Orient Ballroom and Studio 54. His biggest delight is playing for the CPDSA and the passers by in Central Park.

Labor Day was one to remember! ✨

DJ Mike Dominico graced the decks, Honey Baby Skates & Service made their Central Park debut, we sold CPDSA shirts & historical timelines, and basked in the sunshine of a beautiful day spent with chosen family.

Thank you to Bob Dea for capturing our 2nd family photo of the season (as well as all of these other amazing pics) & for being such an uplifting member of our community.

Our next 2 days in the park are September 19 + 20 — mark your calendars! We can’t wait to see you again soon.

OMGosh! So many new followers and over a million views this week! Welcome everyone to the Dance Parade page! We are a once a year ALL DAY DANCE PARTY in New York City happening every third Saturday in May! Our next DANCE PARADE and FESTIVAL is May 15, 2027! SAVE the DATE!

Our event kicks off in the Flatiron District at the DANCE PARADE route start area where the parade makes its way through downtown West Village all the way to Tompkins Square Park. At the park, our festival portion, DanceFest continues with over 4 hours of dance programming including multiple performance stages, a social dance space, free dance classes, site specific areas and more! Saturday, August 8: DJ Stormin’ Norman
Originally hailing from East London, DJ Stormin’ Norman has been a staple in the NYC music scene for over 25 years. He is the Founder and Executive Producer of The Sundae Sermon Music Festival in Harlem and has played in many legendary clubs as well as the Central Park Skate Circle.
In the 90’s,’ Norman was part of a groundbreaking DJ collective that introduced live mixing to daytime radio previously reserved for weekend nights broadcasted from night-clubs, setting a new precedent in national radio with The Thunderstorm Mix on WBLS 107.5FM NYC. Dj Stormin’s diverse style allows him to play in different musical scenes from Disco Classics, Funk, Soul, Classic Hip Hop, R&B, Soulful, Deep and Afro House.

Sunday, August 9: DJ Jon Mavek
Jon Mavek is a New York City DJ with over 34 years behind the decks, recognized for his dynamic sets, seamless mixing, and deep-rooted passion for house music. Having performed at legendary venues including Le Souk, Guernica, National Underground, and the iconic Tunnel Night Club, he has built a reputation for delivering unforgettable musical journeys that keep dance floors moving.
