What an epic couple of days participating in this year’s @bookshopdaynz bookshop tour! I challenged myself to get to all of the bookshops on the tour before the end of the week, and I succeeded with a final trip to @matakanavillagebooks today ☀️

I not only went to a few of my favourites, but I also learnt about a few bookshops that I didn’t know existed 🙏

I meet some amazing people across the last couple of days, and everyone I talked with was super duper lovely! I love the book community 🫶

I also finished the “How to solve your own murder” book and was able to do a couple of Little Library drop offs while I was out and about 🥰

Here’s to doing more things that bring us joy!

My first bookshop day purchase was from @timeoutbookstore
The Vanishing Place by @zoerankinwrites was one of those books I keep seeing mentioned and promoted so it stood out on the shelves. The blurb makes it sound intriguing so that was book 1 of the day decided.
I also got one of @bobo.doodles prints.

@ormistonjc art students joined us (Arts Out East) on an art trail around East Auckland 🌞

With learning about arts and its impact in local community, we were stoked to share what we do and guide them around.

From Ormiston, to Mission Heights, Botany, Pakuranga and East Tāmaki, we spend the sunny day sharing the stories behind each of these public pieces, how we work with creatives, businesses, organisations and cultural groups.

Did you know you can visit these too?
