@surflifesavingcornwall are the Celtic Cup 2026 overall champions after an eight-point finish at Saunton Sands. Their commanding Youth victory on 208 points combined with 163 from the Open team for a winning regional total of 371, narrowly ahead of @slsawales on 363.

Cornwall Youth set the pace with 14 wins from 18 events and five team titles. Wales Open claimed their competition with 188 points, while @sls_devon Open kept the race close with eight event wins to Wales’ nine. Across the whole Cup, 17 different athletes won an individual title and every region reached the podium.

Congratulations to Cornwall, Cornwall Youth and Wales Open—and to every athlete representing Cornwall, Devon, Wales and @slswessex . Thank you to the coaches, officials, water-safety crews, volunteers, organisers, families and supporters who made the event possible.

First open British nationals and wow was it a good one. Winning my first individual open title in the surf race and taking a third in the iron still feels unreal. Despite all this the best part of the weekend was racing along side my @portreathsurflifesavingclub team. Special mention to @piran02 and all you have done for me and the team go get them big man.

Not Much to be sad about at the @surflifesavinggb Open National Champs.

@surflifesavinggb Open Nationals 2026 — the championship recap 🥇🥈🥉

Across 32 completed finals recorded at Fistral, the published club table was decided by just 12 points at the top.

@woolacombeslsc led the published LiveHeats standings on 932 points, ahead of @portreathsurflifesavingclub on 920, with @gylly_slsc third on 620. Ten clubs reached a podium and seven won at least one final.

Bob Whittaker led the men’s individual-points table with 78, while Molly Roodhouse led the women’s with 76. Evie Wong followed on 72 after three individual wins, and Isabelle Roome appeared in four winning women’s teams. Day Three podiums 🥇🥈🥉

The final day delivered fifteen finals and 45 podium places across beach, board, rescue, ocean, ski, surf and Taplin racing at Fistral.

Rhoose filled the women’s Beach Sprint podium, while Woolacombe won both Board Rescue finals and the women’s Board Relay. Gyllyngvase took the women’s Tube Rescue, Surf Race and Taplin titles; Portreath closed with victories in the open Tube Rescue, Surf Race, Ski Relay and Taplin.

🌊🏆 A very proud moment for Azure Glass Studio! 🏆🌊

What an incredible feeling to see my fused glass waves being presented as trophies to Bob Whittaker and Ellie McCloy, the individual winners of the Surf Life Saving GB Surf Series 2026! 🌊✨

These waves started life in my studio, inspired by my love of the ocean, and I couldn’t be prouder that they now represent achievement at such an amazing event.

I was also absolutely delighted to be invited along to the awards presentation and given the opportunity to tour the Newquay-based Surf Life Saving Club and learn more about the incredible work they do to keep people safe in and around the water. 🌊❤️

It was fantastic to meet some of the people behind this brilliant organisation and to see first-hand the passion, dedication and skill that goes into what they do.

A huge congratulations to Bob and Ellie, and to everyone who took part in the 2026 Surf Series. 🏄‍♀️🏄‍♂️
