I just got back from the best week in Da Nang, Vietnam playing for Team USA at the Pickleball World Cup. We brought home the gold 🥇in 14U against the best teams from across the world. 66 countries competed and the main stadium was packed with thousands watching. Vietnam loves pickleball and the cheering was so loud.

The level was high, especially from across Asia. We had great matches against Japan, Malaysia, and Vietnam to get to the finals. We finished it off with a big win against India in the gold medal match! It was a crazy experience, and I was so happy to be able to play for Team USA🇺🇸,loved my teammates, and proud that we won it all.

Playing for my country felt like the Olympics.

I also want to thank the people of Vietnam for all the delicious food.

Thank you to Steve Rose for making this entire team possible. I want to thank my coach @charlietrevinopickleball and the Team USA coaches Leah and Rob for all of their dedication. And thanks to my parents for bringing us to Vietnam. I can’t wait to go back next year!!!

3 WORDS, BACK TO BACK!!!! 🏆🇺🇸🏆

So glad to have been selected again to play for Team USA and be able to pull off our back to back World Cup victories in my home country Vietnam 🇻🇳. Coming into this tournament I knew that the competition would be much stronger and better compared to last year, but I remembered that so did we.

Thank you to everyone on Team USA, my teammates, coaches, staff, and especially the parents. This trip wouldn’t have been possible without them. It was amazing being able to see all my friends from the US to come here to vietnam and overall I loved this tournament so much.

Thank you again to my sponsors and my parents for always supporting my journey, see you all next year 🏆🇺🇸🙏

In our 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗖𝘂𝗽 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, “The Rainmaker: Riding the Waves to Team USA” tells the story of 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗲 @bocacustomtailor, whose journey into pickleball began after a rogue wave shattered his ankle and unexpectedly introduced him to the sport.

Years later, Rose has become a driving force behind 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗨𝗦𝗔’𝘀 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗖𝘂𝗽 effort, coordinating five teams and 41 players and coaches heading to Da Nang, Vietnam, while also taking the court himself for the 60+ team.
