Tonight was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. First off I finally got to see @_m_rothenberg in real life! It’s been YEARS and the fact that we got to see one of our favorite bands together made it even more special! Second, @btbamofficial was INCREDIBLE at @magicstickdet ! Look, I’ve seen them 4 times, and every time I walk away AMAZED. Amazed at how ridiculously talented these dudes are. @blakeyeatsteaky is top 3 drummers of our day and I DO NOT CARE if you disagree. Not only do his drums sound SO GOOD live (that snare and that ride bell OMG!) but he plays so passionately and it’s inspiring. Speaking of inspiring, I always come away from their shows INSPIRED. Inspired to push myself to the next level as a musician. Third, the show tonight and the show Saturday our special to me because they are my two favorite albums by btbam. I saw them play colors back in 2017 for the 10 year anniversary, and I can’t explain why yet, but seeing them play it all the way through again tonight on this tour for some reason was better. Could be because @_m_rothenberg got to be there with me since he’s ALWAYS been one of my influences on drums and one of my biggest supporters. Could be because I’m almost 33 and have gotten more sentimental. Or it could be that @btbamofficial is simply one of the best bands EVER and any time I get to see them is seriously incredible and unforgettable. Whatever it is, I am THANKFUL! Glad @bodetsc6 could join us too! Enjoy the BRO PIC (proof of our boys night!), a vid of my fav part from “Ants of the Sky”, the end of “Viridian” where @danbriggsmusic RIPS on the bass, then last is the EPIC ending of “white walls”! Yes, I yelled “YEEEAAAHHHHH!” multiple times. HOW COULD I NOT! @btbamofficial y’all are legends, absolute LEGENDS. Can’t wait for Colors 2 Saturday! #btbam #colorsexperience #night1 #magicstickdetroit #mikey #andmikey #brosnight #blakeyeatsteakyisthegoat #seriouslybestdrummer #igettodothisagainin2days #blessed #prog
