Friday is ruled by Venus, so the bottle is pink, the props are pink, and the Pilates is powerful. 💗

There is a season for everything. 🌘✨

Even becoming.

The Radiance Planner by @rebeccazaccard has been helping me move through eclipse season with the planets instead of against them.

A time to plan.
A time to pause.
A time to release.
A time to receive.

And a time to trust what is being revealed. 🪐 Go to @radianceastrology and purchase your Radiance Planner today!! #pittsburgh #astrology #eclipse #eclipseseason #journaling

Swipe to see the end results!

What do we love? Nail growth! Attempting a fix of a curved nail with a sculpted index so we’ll keep an eye on that.

🌳🪐Does this give earthy and galactic? I think so! 🍃 🌌

On Fridays, we wear pink!

Not for attention.
Not for approval.

For remembrance of Venus.

May we all become brave enough to bloom in shades we were once told were too bright. 💗🌙 #onfridayswewearpink #venusday #pink #friday #fascinator

✨ A little sneak peek at what’s coming to Pittsburgh Pilates…

This is our Roll Down Series on the Tower.

We move through a C Curve, flat back, Spine Stretch Forward, roll down presses, and single arm roll downs. It may look like a simple spinal mobility exercise, but it’s so much more than that.

Every variation asks your body a different question. Can you stay connected from your feet to your fingertips? Can your posterior chain support your spine? Can your shoulders stabilize while your spine articulates? Can you move with control instead of momentum?

That’s why there is no spot training in Pilates. Your body works as one connected system, and that’s exactly how we train it.

Tower classes are coming to Pittsburgh Pilates, and I can’t wait for you to experience the springs, the feedback, and the “aha!” moments that happen when your whole body starts working together.

Who else is ready to get on the Tower? ✨

Your body will always look for the shortcut.

This is just the setup for Kneeling Abdominals Facing the Foot Bar, and my body is negotiating every second of it. Hamstrings. Glutes. Shoulder girdle. Breath. No faking the funk when your teacher sees everything.

The setup is the exercise. The movement comes later.

The straps matter more than you think.

Part 2 of our Machine Setup Series is all about making sure your straps are as even as possible before you start moving. Uneven straps can throw off your alignment before you even notice it. But remember, perfection does not exist!

I’ll show you exactly how we adjust them on the Balanced Body Studio Reformers at Pittsburgh Pilates so you can set yourself up for success from the very first rep.

Save this for your next class, send it to your Pilates bestie, and follow along because Part 3 is coming next.

POV: You hear “Pilates is low impact” so you think you’re about to have a relaxing workout.

Then you climb onto the reformer like it’s a guillotine.

Maybe I’ll live.
Maybe I’ll die.
Definitely activating those slow-twitch muscles.

Come see what all the hype is about. Download the Pittsburgh Pilates app and book your first class. #pittsburghpilates #pittsburgh #pilates #pghwellness #pghfit

The biggest mistake people make on the reformer happens before the workout even starts.

Part 1 of our Machine Setup Series covers the Revo Bar, the Infinity Foot Bar, and one non negotiable rule. Always keep a spring on before moving anything on the reformer. Safety first.

These are the settings I typically start clients with at Pittsburgh Pilates, but every body is different. This is simply a starting point. We can always make adjustments based on your body, your proportions, and your movement.

Save this before your next class, share it with your Pilates bestie, and follow along for Part 2.
