I want to thank you @thekennyacker for the amazing opportunity to be an extra for your film and thank you @lennnyfromtheblock for sharing about this film and giving us an opportunity to be a part of it.
I cannot wait to see it because it's was so much fun being on set and meeting new people and skating for hours and seeing people styling and profiling with the 90s looks. I will forever be grateful for this opportunity as an extra so thank you so much 🙏🏽

The HaiCuu Experience. Last one of the year—was nothing short of incredible. The room was overflowing with love, support, and a comfort I’ve never felt anywhere else. It was a space where I could truly be myself in a way I never have before.

It’s because of my community that I am Miss Dez. It’s my people, my tribe, who made me Miss Kent County and continue to shape me into the woman I am today. I’m endlessly grateful for them. This time, I got to show up as Dez. No hats, no code switching, just me.

I was in awe of how everyone showed up and showcased their vulnerability and emotions. The talents we often hide—because we’re afraid of how the world will perceive us—were celebrated. There was no hyper-masculinity in the room, no judgment, just authenticity and connection.

From the heartfelt art on the walls to the words of my community reaching ears they never expected to touch, the entire experience was magical. I’m so thankful to have shared this moment with so many beautiful people, with my family.

I tried to capture as much of it as I could while keeping my 4-year-old occupied, but no amount of content can truly capture what it felt like to be there. Thank you to everyone who made last night unforgettable. Here’s to continuing to uplift, inspire, and love each other ❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️
