I truly love this transformation 🥹

This client came to me with old highlights + a previously lightened base. While a base break can be the right choice for some clients, I personally prefer a more natural grow-out + softer transition over time.

She was missing contrast between her natural base + her highlights, so here's what we did:

A full lived-in blonding session with tip-outs for added brightness + boldness.

A root melt close to her natural color to soften the old base color, blend her grays, + create a much more seamless grow-out.
The result is brighter, more dimensional, + lower maintenance while still giving her plenty of blonde.

And just to be clear—there's absolutely no shame in base breaks! Some clients love a lighter overall result, + that can be a beautiful option too. Every head of hair has different goals, + that's what makes our industry so fun.

What do you think of this transformation? 🤎
