💖”crawl inside this body - find me where I am most ruined, love me there”. — T.L. Martin

—— Alicent is a character who tightly represses her emotions until she boils over and lashes out. She views Criston as the one safe haven where Alicent doesn’t have to wear her perfect queenly mask. He understands her grief and, absorbs her anger and acts as her emotional punching bag. As Olivia explains it.

A little gothic romance to welcome the spooky season. 🖤
Since Halloween is getting closer, you might notice a little more gothic content on my page!
As for this edit, I really wanted to capture that haunting, romantic feeling of gothic love. I thought Dracula & Mina and Alys & Aemond matched each other’s vibes, gothic ones: the darkness, the longing, the intensity. 🦇🖤

Elisabeth of Austria, also known as Sisi, was one of the most beautiful and famous women of the nineteenth century. From the outside, her life seemed like a fairy tale. She was a young duchess who married Emperor Franz Joseph I and became Empress of Austria. She lived in magnificent palaces, wore beautiful dresses and was admired by many people. However, behind her beauty and royal status, Elisabeth was a deeply unhappy woman who struggled with loneliness, pressure and a longing for freedom.

From the very beginning, life at the imperial court was difficult for her. Elisabeth was only sixteen when she married Franz Joseph in 1854. Suddenly, she had to follow strict rules and fulfil the expectations of the imperial family. Her mother-in-law, Archduchess Sophie, often interfered in her life, even in the upbringing of her children. Elisabeth felt that she had very little control over her own life and that she could never truly be herself.

To escape her unhappy life at court, Elisabeth began to travel whenever she could. She visited places such as Madeira, Corfu and Hungary, far away from the strict routines of Vienna. At first, these journeys were presented as necessary for her health, but they also gave her something she desperately needed: freedom. Away from the palace, she could spend time in nature, ride horses, read poetry and live according to her own wishes. Gradually, travelling became a way for her to escape the pressures of being an empress.

how i make #sidriver about #alicole

—— feeling like they mirror each other, that’d be Alicent and Cole if they were free to be together. + Sid and River start in a tragic way and were separated for years , opposites from Alicent and Cole who spend years together and end up separated.
they’re the same with opposite paths.

the soldier, the poet and the king.

—— Cole was def mostly the soldier to me since even if he doesn’t like the society where he is, he loves fighting and Gwayne doesn’t, I feel like he’s better with words and Alicent in the show version, especially s1 was the most fitting character to sit on that throne (only thing I agree with Ryan lol).
But anyway we were robbed of this trio (since they don’t respect books we could at least have them🫩) need them back in smth asap !!!
