A huge congratulations to Summer Mahoney and Bethan Foster who both made their competitive first team debuts last night in a 3-0 victory against local rivals Sutton Town.

Both girls have started the season with the U18s in the JPL, whilst also being involved in first team training twice a week and match day squads on a Sunday.

Due to both of the girls being regularly involved and playing the same style of football with the U18s, they both came on yesterday and did fantastically well.

Well done both. 🙌🏻🙌🏻

WONDERFUL WANDERERS MAKE IT TWO WINS OUT OF TWO IN THE WS2 BY BRUSHING BURNLEY ASIDE TONIGHT AT THE SEAH STADIUM

@amysims99 @wolveswomenfc @beeston_sports

Wolves women and Amy Sims followed up their fantastic win last Sunday with another tonight in front of a good crowd at SEAH Stadium & the TV cameras.

It was Wolves who started the brighter but by the mid point of the opening half Burnley had got a foothold in the game and there was nothing to suggest what was to come in the final 15 minutes of the half.

Wolves took command of the game with three goals in that period, firstly from an Amber Hughes header ending a great bit of build up play, then seconds later a wickedly deflected strike from Mel Filis went in, followed by a coolly taken penalty by Anna Morphet right on half time.

HT 3-0

The second half was very quiet by comparison & Wolves saw the game out without creating anything themselves really whilst restricting Burnley to one or two half chances that they didn’t take leaving the scoreline at the end as it was at half time.

FT 3-0

A terrific result for Wolves which takes them up to 2nd in the WSL2 table and an extremely solid and professional performance from our @amysims99 for Wolves for the entire 90 minutes.

It was equally a joy to meet up with Amy afterwards and also four other @beeston_sports players who sat with our @russfifafaagentbeestonsports watching the game @laylakennerley of @derbycountyfcwomen @_eviehughes_ of @boldmere_wfc and @gib.wnt international @caitlinchapman03 & @kenzhj_ both of @tnsfcwomen all pictured here.

A great night all round.
