Got lost in Italy🇮🇹… in the middle of Bolivia 🇧🇴...

Italia Perdida ("Lost Italy") is a maze of rock towers as tall as houses, sitting above 4,000 m on the Altiplano between the Uyuni salt flats and the southern lagoons. The story goes that two Italian 🇮🇹 travelers wandered in, couldn't find their way out, and were rescued by local quinoa farmers. After walking it myself, I believe it. Every corner looks like the last one, the silence is total, and the thin air makes every step feel earned.

Stone, wind, and endless sky. One of the most surreal places I've walked on this continent.

Would you explore it without a guide? You shouldn't, so make sure to reach out to well known tour guides like the ones I tagged here 😁🇧🇴❤️🙌🏻

FOLLOW @boliviatales to discover Bolivia through the eyes of someone living between being a tourist and a local 🇧🇴✈️

You will never know what’s really out there until you leave behind what you already know. 🌌

We naturally gravitate towards familiar places because they feel safe. We know what to expect, what to do, and where to look.

But what if life pushes you somewhere you knew almost nothing about?

❌ Not knowing what you’ll find.
❌ Not knowing what it will feel like.
❌ Not knowing how a place so far from home will change you.

💌 One year ago, my wife moved to La Paz for work. Now, I fly back and forth 2 or 3 times a year, exploring every corner of Bolivia whenever I’m here.

And honestly? The places you know the least are often the ones that leave the biggest mark on you.

📌 SAVE this for when you need a push to explore something new.

📌 Follow @boliviatales for places that feel like another world. 🇧🇴

Somewhere between the Andes, endless salt flats and landscapes that don’t look real, you will find Bolivia. It amazes me how much diversity and unique landscapes you can come across in this unbelievable country

And sometimes, all it takes is one flight to find a place you never imagined yourself visiting.

Maybe it’s time to see it for yourself. ✈️
