I wonder how I would have felt if I heard about this and was not present 🤗🤗🤗.
I'm a cool kid and I'm ready to develop those skills beyond my syllabus while remaining a flytrap in my academics

UNBOX MED CONFERENCE 2026!
In the course of volunteering, someone asked me what this conference was about and i said a bunch of things and ended with, “simply put, this conference is for people who know that they can not just be boxed in one world and in my opinion this group of people should include everyone”

Who put this together?
The organizers of this event are a team of young people. People who in my opinion are fierce, determined, talented, intelligent individuals and have done an amazing job in bringing young people of like minds together to learn, share, create and connect.

What stood out for Tess?
I left reminded of something even bigger: the power of community.
The sessions, the conversations, the ideas, the people I met, and even the random little interactions in between all reminded me that growth rarely happens in isolation.
Sometimes, the most valuable thing you take away from a room can also be the person you met, the conversation that challenged the way you think, the connection you made, or simply realizing that there are other people who are also figuring things out, building, learning, and trying to become better.
And I think that’s what I loved most about this conference.

It also reminded me that community is not just about having people around you. It’s about having people you can learn from, people who challenge you, people who open doors for you, people you can encourage, and people you can grow alongside.
There’s just something beautiful about being surrounded by people who inspire you to think bigger.

I left with new perspectives, new connections, and a little more excitement about what’s possible when you put yourself in rooms that stretch you.

Grateful for the experience, the conversations, the people, and every moment. 🤍

Here’s to putting myself in the room, being open to learning, and building genuine connections along the way.

Until the next one. ✨

Last Saturday, I hosted a small but value driven gathering of 10 creatives, an intimate space where we shared perspectives, struggles, risks, and creative goals while also connecting with new faces.

It was a humbling experience. The people who showed up gained value, and having industry figures I respect come around to support this little work meant a lot.

Conversations and meetups like this are the backbone of a strong creative community. We’ve seen it thrive in more developed cities like Lagos, and I’m committed to replicating that energy in Aba. We start small, but we grow.

At the core of it all is one goal: doing great things from a small place. This is just day one of the insane growth that’s coming in the years ahead.

Thank you to everyone who showed up. I see it as a show of support for the work being done. We move! 🚀
