Sometimes, the simplest subjects make the most interesting frames. 💜

What caught my eye here wasn’t just the color, but the contrast, soft lavender tones against a dark, almost monochromatic setting. A little directional light helped bring out the texture of the blackberries and the glass while letting the rest quietly fall into shadow.
Bonus tip: When photographing something colorful, try simplifying everything around it. A darker, uncluttered background can make the color do most of the storytelling. Hope it helps. 😃

A Tropical Water Lily (Nymphaea), possibly the 'Dauben' variety known for its light purple to white petals and bright yellow center.

Tropical water lilies typically require 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily for optimal blooming.

These plants thrive in heavy, clay-based soil and can be grown in containers, such as balcony tubs or pond tanks.
