When your patient recognises how handsome you are... no corrections needed 👌🙆‍♂️

👓 Disclaimer: This video was made as a lighthearted joke; no one takes your eye health more seriously than the team at A. Dinshaw & Co (though we still welcome compliments ^-^).

Ever since we first opened our doors nearly 200 years ago, caring for the community has been a core part of A. Dinshaw & Co... And when we say "community", we also mean the animals around us!

While we're grateful to have been part of Pune's historic legacy as the city's oldest dispensing opticians, we're especially proud of the community we've built: one that thrives in kindness 🤎

When you visit ADC, chances are you'll see a wagging tail and floppy ears greet you at the door -- and if you aren't too keen on dogs, our little ones have a way of sensing that too, and will give you your space as they take their afternoon naps in our basement 🐾

Next time you're at MG Road, do drop by and say hi to these gorgeous doggos -- and don't forget to come in for an eye exam while at it!

A few days ago, we met 16-year-old Divya and her 10-year-old brother, Shivaji, thanks to @sorigin_group's CSR Head, Vanita Ganesan.

As Vanita explained to us: "Divya recently aced her 10th boards with 90% and is now preparing to study science ahead. Shivaji attends the ZP school in the village. They both have a genetic condition of pathological myopia causing extreme low vision. Their father suffers from the same condition, while their 2 other siblings luckily do not have this condition. They come from a financially poor background and earn their living through farming and daily wage work." Having met Divya on one of their CSR visits in Bamani village, Vanita decided to find optometrists and experts in Pune who could help. A. Dinshaw & Co. were honoured to have been one of these experts.

"Mr. @bomanbharucha graciously donated the specs for free to the students and also gave them some much needed life advice, which I am sure they will remember forever! Thank you for all your support!"

Thank you to Vanita, Sorigin Group, Agvo Foundation - and of course, to little Shivaji, Divya and family - for trusting us with their eye health. We look forward to more updates about their bright futures ahead!

Some of our favourite moments at the store are the simplest ones: meaningful conversations, familiar faces, a kind handshake... and helping someone find a pair that feels just right.

Exceptional customer service has always been at the heart of what we do, and it's been such a joy caring for generations of families and their eyecare needs 🫶

Come visit and see the difference for yourself:

We were delighted to have been part of the World Optometry Day celebrations at DY Patil Medical College, Pune.

Mr. @bomanbharucha shared his wealth of experience with attendees, speaking about advancing standards in eye care, the enduring value of patient-centric practice, and the responsibility we carry as practitioners.

Engaging with students and fellow professionals in such spaces is always so meaningful to us, and we’re glad to contribute to these conversations and foster shared learning ✨👓

To say we've been overwhelmed by all the love and support in response to our little reel would be an understatement 🥹

We posted the video as a way to reintroduce you to our team (2 and 4-legged members alike), and it's been so very heartwarming to see your wonderful comments and messages in response to it. We're glad we could brighten your day, and will strive to keep posting more updates... all while helping you see better 💛
