It was a fun and busy weekend of Disc Golf! Saturday was May The 4th Be With You tournament. I played 36 holes in a Boba Fett costume and had a great time with this MA50 crew. I had a decent first round to get out in front and round 2 was a a battle to hang on with some higher winds to deal with. In the end I was able to come out with a win.

Sunday afternoon we had the Chain Chomp 2 event. This is essentially an Ace Race event when you earn points for hitting band, basket or chains or cashing in the Ace. I finished in a 3 way tie for 2nd place which called for a playoff. On the first hole of the playoff I threw in an Ace for the win with my trusty @lonestardisc Armadillo to finish off the weekend with a 1st place and a 2nd place. Extra luck provided by my @bearded.sloth.disc.golf Jersey and my @teeboxsoxusa Ace of Chains Sox!

Check out the Bearded Sloth Disc Golf located inside @zuluvape in Myrtle Beach, SC for your all your disc golf needs or TeeBoxSox for the best Disc Golf socks in the business.

We had another fun event at the Brightwater Senior Living Center! This time we joined with some folks from their sister facility The Lakes at Litchfield. We had over a dozen people out slinging some discs on this bright windy day. Great fun seeing those discs fly. Watch out for some fun disc golf events with this crew.

One disc challenges are a such fun way to get to know a disc and the Boneyard is a great place to do it!

Last night started out very rough with a putt that rolled OB, a crazy spit out ending with a triple bogey on my starting hole. But as I worked my way around the course I started having more and more fun with the @discmaniadiscs P3x. Forehand, backhand and once I figured out the Matty-O anhyzer finger pop putt I was back to the races.

Have you tried the Discmania P3x yet?

Today’s event at Brightwater Senior Living Community was a great time! This event was part of the J.O.Y. (Joining Older and Younger) Program.

J.O.Y. is an award-winning multigenerational communication program for seniors and younger generations to connect through ongoing partnerships and collaborative activities, events, and projects.

This provided a unique opportunity to get everyone together and introduce them to the sport of disc golf.

Hole 8 at Winthrop is one of my favorite holes on the property! Distance isn’t important but you have to be able to throw 2 accurate shots to get a birdie! Oh and make the putt…

Highlight from Monday Qualifying at the 2023 USDGC.

What is your favorite hole to watch or play at Winthrop?

We’re celebrating this #thankfulthursday by giving a huge shoutout to @bone_beaupre and the Horry County Disc Golf Club for helping to organize the first campus disc golf tournament with @ccurec and @ccuchanticleers! The tournament was held last month and helped raise funds to start the student club!

The Horry County Disc Golf Club (HCDGC) hosted a Friday the 13th Halloween Disc Golf Tournament the appropriately named The Boneyard DGC. The tournament was a great success and was a great addition this year to all the amazing Halloween festivities here in Conway, SC… the undisputed Halloween capital of the US!

The Horry County Disc Golf Club received recognition at last night’s County Council Meeting for “dedicating countless hours towards designing and implementing disc golf courses and programs throughout Horry County”

Just doing what you love makes giving back easy and is generally reward enough, but this was nice and much appreciated!
