Finally got my hands on @birdy.magazine in fine print.
Available everywhere that's cool.

With rad articles and art and local pulp thoughts by genius Tom Murphy @queencitysoundsco who is easily Colorados most precious natural resource. We must protect him at all costs! He constantly makes us all sound better than we do in real life.

Also with @bonecastermusic @graphics_chicago @vail.snail @wheelchairsportscamp @hypnoticturtle all available on bandcamp!!!

The new @birdy.magazine is out online and soon in print if not already. In a world where AI slop infiltrates too much stuff online as absurdly alienating nonsense it's essential that a publication rooted in analog experience is still around so if you have the means subscribe and support the magazine. Sure I'm biased because I've had a column in the magazine for eight years starting next month if memory serves but it's also an outlet for some other great work both written and visual and thus a also a way to become connected to other arts and culture stuff including music. This month my column includes reviews of albums by @bonecastermusic @graphics_chicago @manmademadman @vail.snail @wheelchairsportscamp and @whitesatan303 . The latter two have album releases this month. Wheelchair Sports Camp at Meow Wolf on 5/23 (also an event at Wax Trax happening now) and White Satan at The Black Monarch in Victor, CO on 5/30. Pretty sure I'll have interviews with at least half of those artists out in the next month too so if you're interested keep an eye out here because while I have my times of debating whether social media is worth my time there's no easier way to let people know that certain things exist. Take care of each other in this hellscape of a timeline and thanks for reading if you do. The WSC song I attached is about eugenics and our society but hey applies to most of us now if you've been paying attention to what the psychos at Palantir and E.Skum are putting out into the world not to mention Felon47 etc. No need to accept that agenda. Thanks to everyone at Birdy especially @krystijomei for helping me sound better in print. I make mistakes as you may have noticed. Everyone does but with help we can do better for ourselves. No one is completely independent no matter what American conservative mythology tells you.

Happy Friday! Our latest single Retroburn is now streaming! Recorded over this past summer, this song is our first crossover into jazz / 70s prog rock territory and features the incredible guest saxophone performance from Patrick Ketter. The immaculate mixing and mastering were once again handled by @thepaulmalinowski and @audiomq respectively. We hope you enjoy this track. Have a wonderful and fantastic day!

(sorry Apple Music users, we’re working with our distributor on getting this uploaded to Apple Music ASAP)

“Dweller” is my collaborative ambient project with my dear friend Brad Schumacher @bonecastermusic

“Journey to the Ruin of Xilmys” is our first release. It is an exploration of hidden fantastical realms through the use of analogue synth and field recordings.

Recorded live to cassette.

Enjoy with caution. Link in the bio.
