POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
⚠️ Japan's track day scene is reaching a breaking point.

The posts are from Japanese drivers at Tsukuba, Fuji, Nikko and Mobara over the past few weeks. The message is the same in all of them: people with no booking and no connection to the event are walking into garage pits, touching cars, standing on the pit wall, and asking strangers for rides.

This is a serious problem. Most of these are private sessions. Drivers pay to be there, leave tools and gear open in the pits, and have cars coming in and out of pit lane. One wrong step there gets someone hurt.

If this continues, organizers will respond the only way they can: closed paddocks, strict entry checks, and fewer events open to foreigners at all, including those of us who come to drive.

I've been part of the Tokyo car scene since 2015. I hold a JAF competition license and race in the 86/BRZ Challenge Cup. Our guests don't come to look. They register through the organizer, rent a car, and drive.

If you're visiting a Japanese circuit:
🚫 No entering garage pits unless you're registered
🚫 Never touch a car
🚫 Stay off the pit wall and out of pit lane
🚫 Don't ask drivers for passenger rides
✅ Watch from the stands, or from the paddock at a distance

Please don't go after the people in these posts, even if you can identify them on X. They're right. Let's protect this culture so it stays open to everyone.

Share this with anyone planning a Japan track visit.
