About my first book: Benjin6’s Character Developing 2024 - 2025

There is a rare kind of people I have encountered in the world. Their style and way of behaving might seem all over the place, yet there is something very cohesive about them that somehow makes everything make sense. I started this project out of a love for observing people like them, picking out some of the characteristics I admire and love, and fusing them with the models’ personality. The goal was to create looks that the models could truly live in.

I really have to give a shout-out to all the models who participated in this project, that they are the only reason it could exist. As well as all the shops that helped along the way (especially Commune, some of you already noticed, a lot of the looks were shot literally right in front of the shop).

A bit more about the origin of this book. Yuda first planted the idea in June 2025, which I was initially very unsure about. He ended up doing all the design, editing, and even the production(by production, I mean he made all the books by hand). We started working on the book around August and finished it around October (and it took me another five months to post this haha).

Now, looking back at the looks from a year ago, I was surprised to find there was a certain state of mind I had that I wasn’t fully aware of at the time, but it was firmly documented throughout the styling. In that sense, the book feels almost like a diary I was writing without realizing it.
