✨ It’s finally here! 🦋

My first travel guide is officially live on Amazon! 🇹🇳📖

This isn’t just another travel guide.
It’s the one I wish I’d had before visiting Tunis.

Inside, you’ll find a complete 5-day itinerary, hidden gems, practical tips, local recommendations, useful phrases… and all my funniest and craziest travel stories. Honestly, that’s probably the best part of the book! 😂

So, if you want the full story (and trust me, there are a few plot twists 😅), you’ll have to read it!

I hope this guide inspires you to discover the real Tunis and fall in love with Tunisia as much as I did. ❤️

Part cover reveal…

Two years (and a month) later, my new book had its first print run today.
The first 500 limited edition hardbacks have all manner of outrageous bespoke features including a gold/silver leaf cover. I know, right.

It’s a middle grade (7-ish and up) adventure story, The Animals of Farthing Wood meets parts of The Hobbit.

Out in a few weeks.

Next post: where it’s set and more of the cover...

CULTURE NIGHT 2025: JASON STONEKING direct from Paris.

Jason wowed us last year with a thrilling performance of his unique and original poetry, written in situ in Skibbereen, during his stay with us.

He returns as SWERVE poet-in-residence for CULTURE NIGHT. Come and hear him read new work at the LIT LOUNGE at 8pm on Friday 19 September.

8 Cork Road
Skibbereen
P81 YX40

Not to be missed!

Jason Stoneking is an American poet and performer based in Paris. His practice focuses on the creation of handwritten and site-specific texts, as in his Bespoke Books series, for which he writes an entire unique book by hand, in a single draft, for an individual reader, event, or residency. For his Portrait Sittings, he invites subjects to pose for him as they would for a painter, while he composes their portrait in handwritten words, then presents them with the original manuscript drafted during the session. In his newest series, Sky Sketches (inspired by the Skies Sketchbook of JMW Turner) he improvises handwritten impressions of the sky in words. For culture night, he will be sharing texts written in residence at Swerve Headquarters.

HUGE THANKS TO CORK COUNTY ARTS AND ARTS COUNCIL IRELAND FOR FUNDING THIS EVENT.
