Let's talk about books that have been on our shelves for the looooongest!⁣
⁣
Auntie Poldi and The Sicilan Lions is one of mine 📘 It is the first in a cozy crime series about an Italian widow who ends up becoming a suspect in a murder investigation. I really do wanna pick it up, but there's just so so so much other stuff 😫 and with new stuff coming all the time its hard to find the time 🕙⁣
⁣
I'm interested to hear which books you've had on your TBR for ages! If you're tagged, share yours! 🙂⁣

#QOTD What book has been on your shelf the longest? Why haven't you picked it up yet?⁣

Hey 😊 I took a break from posting but I finally have something new to show on my grid.

Forever ago the lovely @thebooksbetweenus_ tagged me in the #femaleauthorstack & @the.redheadreader tagged me in the #tenonmytbr challenge.

So I thought I'd reveal a stack of female authors I want to try this yr. Any favourites here that should get priority?

I've tagged a few to give either (or both if you like) challenges a go but anyone can get involved ofc ❤️

Thanks @ayoungwritersworld @charlottereadsx @readwithchar_ for nominating me to do the #bumblebeestack challenge

Ah man, I haven't read any of these yet...

I buy books because the possibility of reading them attracts me. If I'm being honest it's also a hobby entirely unrelated to reading. I counted about 120 books unread on my shelf alone. Which isn't even a little normal😂. My solution: help fill up someone else's shelf space haha.

I've organised a 48hr flash GIVEAWAY (check my story to enter) to hopefully cheer someone's day!

QOTD: Do you own a book you know you'll enjoy but keep forgetting to pick up?

That's how I feel about Autumn by Ali Smith. And A Thousand Ships

@holly.writes.words tagged me in the #letterstackchallenge First challenge I do in a while and I go rogue 😂🙈 so I was supposed to follow with the letter R but all of a sudden I was cradling titles beginning with A in my arms. So yeah. Lol sorry.

Looking forward to seeing your stacks. With the letter R or B or whatever you prefer. I'll support your decision 😌

TAGS OF THE WEEK📸

We’re one month into 2021 and we don’t know about you but our TBR stack just keeps growing with all the exciting titles coming out!😅📚

Some of our brilliant 2021 titles feature in this bunch of books too, like @ellygriffiths17 THE NIGHT HAWK, @phoebewynnewrite’s MADAM and @betholearyauthor’s THE ROAD TRIP. But there’s also still lots of love from you all for our 2020 and earlier titles 🥰 Thanks for lifting our spirits: @thebookishkimmy, @bookishly_vee, @samantha_at_georges, @bristolianbooks, @jordanahennigan, @drakethebookshop, @whatshruyireads, @surfingdaisies_read, @alibeecreations, @myreadingyears

How are you all getting on with your TBR stack? Are there any titles here you’d like to read? 📖💛

My most ENJOYABLE reads of 2020! This only includes books I’d read for the first time and no reread. Have you read any of these? Are any of these your favs?

It’s too difficult for me to do a top 10 of 2020 because I’ve read almost 100 books this year. I feel like I’m going to finish one more before the year ends.

I’m really proud of myself with all the reading I’ve done this year. It’s more than I’ve ever done. I’m thankful and grateful in life and with Allah that I’ve been able to survive this year and buy the things I want/need. I’ve been able to provide for my family and got my first full time salary job this year. I bought myself a ton of hardbacks to make up for the years where I couldn’t afford it. As well as subscribing to FairyLoot which I’ve been wanting to do for years. This is not me bragging but showing how thankful I am to myself and to all of you who have followed me and decided to stick around. Thank you to those that always message me and we have such lovely conversations together 💓

I hope I can do more giveaways next year when I hit more milestones and just do some random ones too to share my appreciation for all of you! This year I created my page in May and I wasn’t expecting it to be as successful as it was. There are more of you than I ever hoped. I only wanted a space to chat about books after being deprived of it for so long. Having actual people to speak to about books...it’s a huge blessing. I’ve tagged a few of my darlings that I love to chat with💓🦋 not all of them as it only lets you tag 20 people 😭💀
