Raise your hand if you’ve ever experienced a reading slump 🙋‍♀️

A couple weeks ago, I shared that I was going through a reading slump and I asked booksta for advice on getting out of it and back into reading. TBH, I didn’t really expect anyone to comment on my post 😅 but y’all surprised me!

It warmed my heart to read all the kind words and advice. I knew other readers would benefit from these tips as well, so I wanted to share all the advice I received in its own post. I hope these accounts’ words will inspire you like they inspired me.

Swipe through these slides. Share the tips you find most helpful. Give these bookstas a follow for being so amazing 🤩

Happy reading… or resting if you need to!

What would be the vibe of your bookish magazine? ♡

@yelli3_reads tagged me in this challenge and I had too much fun with it, but I also realized that the vibe of my magazine would be absolute CHAOS! 😂

I have way too many ideas and thoughts that I never complete and I seriously lack a filter, so my word vomit would probably be mayhem and my humor is just odd most days, so, yes, aotd: chaos 😅

I OBVIOUSLY had to add a cowboy quiz as well for fun and giggles, so you can slide to take it, lol

Have also tagged a few people to keep the fun going, but if you see this and feel like doing it, you absolutely should!

Apps used:
› PicsArt for almost all editing when it comes to text, placement, headlines and such
› Canva to align bookcovers in the quiz & to add flowers, cowboyhat and book on the magazine cover

Good morning friends and happy Friday ! I have two more shifts to get through and then I have my weekend but I hope the rest of you have a good weekend!

The lovely @books.pups.tea tagged me to do the talk about your tbr challenge I’ll tag some people to do it too if you want.

•What is one book that you would suspend your entire tbr to read if it was released right now?
Iron Flame, no if ands or butts about that one!

•Number of books on my TBR:
I own like over 200 books but honestly there’s only about 15 of them I currently care about.

• Book on your TBR the longest:
I wanna say that it’s Little Women

•Last book that I finished on my TBR:
Heir of Fire by Sarah J Maas

•Next book on my TBR:
I plan on continuing my reread of TOG and then moving on to the Mistborn series after that and then I also want to finish the Arc of Scythe series.

•Latest TBR addiction:
I do not know. I guess my throne of glass reread?

•the books I’m most hype for on my tbr:
I’m not really hype for anything because my mood could change as soon as I’m done typing this caption so who actually knows? I sure don’t.

•Most popular genre on my TBR:
Fantasy and Romance

•Prettiest cover on my TBR:
The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi

You can either do the challenge yourself or answer some questions in the comments have a great day!

What movies have you seen recently?

I’m looking at this star and all I can think of is the quote “I’m a fucking star. The whole world is gonna know my name” from the A24 horror movie X and also a similar line from pearl… idk why I’m like obsessed with these A24 movies lately even though I really didn’t like X (idk why I was surprised at how sexual it was when they literally are shooting a p*rn*) but I’m loving getting back into these kinds of movies, after I had my daughter I couldn’t watch anything that would make me anxious or raise my heart beat even a little bit so I’m happy I can now enjoy these again!

Anywho this Opal star is from @obsidianmooncrate and I’m obsessed with it it’s so pretty I feel like there’s magic inside of it, be sure to use my code RAMBLES5 to save when you order from @obsidianmooncrate

What im playing- Animal Crossing. Im going for extravagant and im having a lot of fun, im thinking about picking Hollow Knight up and I also want to finish Gris

What im listening too- while im waiting for the release of Stray Kids five star album I’ve inadvertently become a Seventeen CARAT the way I said I’d never dedicate myself to all 13 member and the joke is on me because im OBSESSED im dreaming about them im not mad about it.

What im watching- Accused idk what channel it’s on but it’s on Hulu it’s an anthology show where each episode is different and it’s about someone being accused for something they did like murder, neglect, kidnapping, a whole bunch of stuff it’s wild and emotional and really really good.

That’s all for me! Tell me what you’re doing this week and I’ll tag some people to do this as well!

What’s the last gift you received?

Other than the gift I get everyday from having wonderful best friends like @ancareads and @booksandbrandy they also BUY me the most incredible gifts too 😭😭😭😭 I was screaming when I opened this up when Brandy came to visit me that her and Anca got together and got me the @fairyloot editions of Legendborn and Bloodmarked. They know how much this story and these characters mean to me and for them to go out of their way to get me this makes me feel so grateful because I know how difficult it must’ve been to do 🥹🥹🥹 anyway I love you both, thanks for being the two best friends a girl could ask for!

*in the second photo the label isn’t wrong the book was printed upside down I guess I could’ve flipped it but I’m genuinely not that smart and didn’t think of that until now*

💙 Birthstone Stack 💙

What’s this, another tagged challenge? Yep! Lol I’ve been doing my best to catch up on posts from last year and this was one I was excited to share. Thanks @could.be.reading for the tag. 🥰

My birthday is September 8th which means I’m a Virgo ♍️ and my birthstone is the gorgeous, dark blue of a Sapphire. My Grams (aka my best friend on the whole world) also shared this birthstone and we always enjoyed finding things with that gem on it. 💍

Books shown…📚
• The Iron Knight
• Queen of Myth and Monsters
• The Hawthorne Legacy
• This Coven Won’t Break
• House of Sky and Breath

What is your birthstone? 💎

Virgo candle from @the.book.nerd.fox • 🕯

Xoxo,
